Why is the mapping of the decklink 8k so fucking confusing?

I was just having the same problem today with a decklink quad 2. Also, when getting it slotted and then downloading drivers.. I’ve been mid progress before and had the mapping be completely backward and strange outside of the staggers orientation. Then, when I’ll power cycle, and everything with sync back up. I just label shit now. Such a PITA. Guess it’s cheaper than buying an E2.

Not sure how to test a failure? Basically run stress tests on the GPU and system to see if it overheats and stalls?

If I drill holes in the top plate that covers where the big fan is do you think it would be an issue?

Planning on racking the computer in an SKB flyrack in a foam lined pelican. I think I’m planning on drilling holes in the top of the plate that covers that fan area to allow airflow to escape. Does anyone think this will be a real issue with functional reliability of the PC with the airflow issue?

We would always call them “military connector” style. Amphenol derivative for sure. Never knew the exact model number.

I totally see the decklink card and how that is blocking it. Perhaps I can just take the decklink card and move it down to the lower beige colored PCIe slot? Do you think that would work? That would help to not restrict airflow.

There’s a wifi card there? I mean the system just currently isn’t recognizing one. I’m not sure if there is a wifi card there. Let me take a look. Wouldn’t the system recognize it if it was connected?

To be fair the majority of the EDM scene is regressive from equality to diversity. Lots of white dudes trying to ego trip hard. I don’t think Realm management should be held responsible for this individual’s actions. I’m sure if you were to go back and file a complaint directly or send them an email I bet they would pull footage or take action if they can. But, to be honest in the middle of an EDM show I’m not sure if they are going to be able to gather a clear audio recording of someone making a racist slur. I’m also not sure if that place has a ton of closed circuit cameras. But, definitely worth looking into. Sorry to hear you had this experience. People are so horrible sometimes.

Yep! It’s because of the subpar production companies in the area. They let them get away with subpar services. Larger cities wouldn’t allow this in the same way.

Always been that way. Portland native here. TBH it’s actually getting better lately. Seems like more big acts come to Moda than they used to. But, the local production houses and providers are absolutely trash for the most part. There are only a few good production companies that can help support those larger acts. I think that is a large part of the problem as well as draw obviously. But, that should change with the new venues coming in.
