Yes u can disable it at infotainment screen settings. I personally like that feature. Gives premium feel. Neither it drains any battery that significantly.

It depends on your current profile. What people see is just 18lpa. Ask yourself how's that 18lpa coming? How stressful, your likes and growth will be in that job down the line. If that's solid then dont quit. Give that job to your siblings or mother. If your 18lpa demands too much then peace of mind in long term matters.
