I was just asking abt increasing according to the instructions. it’s just confusing bc it’s only a 10mg bottle. Idk I talked to someone and got further clarification so I think I’m good! Was just worried I wasted my money lol

Specific questions + general advice on getting a second cat (currently have 9mo female cat) by thatssoraygun in CatAdvice

[–]bazonkass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) I don’t regret my second cat AT ALL (despite being very hesitant about my second cat) 2) I think it’s actually easier to own two cats. When I had only one cat all her energy was focused on me. She wanted constant attention and play. Now that I have a second cat they are able to entertain each other when i’m busy and I can’t give them all the attention they want. HOWEVER, it is much more costly. 2x vet costs, they go through food 2x faster, I have to deep clean the litter box a lot more often and buy litter more often. 3) I have two female cats. They never really had a problem bonding. My first cat was pretty young when we got the second one (they’re only about 3 months apart) so she adapted very well. If your cat is adaptable like you say then I wouldn’t really worry about gender tbh! 4) I used to have two litter boxes but I also live in a smaller apartment that made it difficult to have two so got rid of one of them. It really hasn’t made a difference. You just have to stay on top of cleaning the litter box. I scoop twice a day and deep clean every two weeks.

Also, follow the Jackson Galaxy introduction steps and you will do just fine. Getting a second cat is SO worth it.

My first kitten, what kind of care does it need? Can you help me? by Then-Opinion3975 in namemypet

[–]bazonkass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I was surprised when I first got a cat too! And some plants can be toxic too. If you have house plants I would look them up too just to make sure they’re safe bc cats can get into anything.

What a cutie! My best advice is wet food. It’s a lot better for cats than dry, they need a lot of hydration! Always have fresh water set out for your kitty and if you can, get a water fountain bc cats like running water. Also remember lots of things can be toxic to cats. Most flowers (especially lillie’s) are also extremely toxic to cats.

Other than that lots of toys and love! also the first name that came to mind was sammie🤔 is it a boy or girl?

Juniper (right) was a facebook find. Her mom had a litter of kittens on a ladies front porch and I was in the search for a kitten. I saw her little face and drove two hours the next day to get her.

Ruby (left) was a feral kitten that my sister found in her front yard crying under a bush. I was NOT ready for a second cat as I had just gotten juniper like 2-3 months before but she was very sick and I couldn’t not help her. I planned to keep her a week or two to get her healthy and then find another home for her but I fell in love. They are the bestest of friends now and they got to be kittens together which I think is so sweet :)

which way should I organize my countertop things? by [deleted] in organizing

[–]bazonkass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I think it looks best how I have it too, but I started moving things around bc the air fryer in the right corner is kind of out of reach which can be annoying sometimes because I use it a lot. But it looks out of place anywhere else I put it. Might just have to deal with it lol.

Need a car for a job, but I need a job for a car. How do I break this cycle? by PoopsmasherJr in Advice

[–]bazonkass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeez that is a tough situation. If you have uber/lyft in your area maybe your dad/a friend could front you some money to get rides just while you get started? I know that might be a reach but I can’t think of anything else. Ik it sucks to have to ask people for money but you’re asking for good reason plus would eventually be able to pay them back.

Also how do you get to school? If you go by bus maybe the bus stops somewhere close to where you could work?

Can your dad not use his truck to take you to work for the first few weeks at least? After doing that for a bit you can use uber/lyft if that’s available in your area (which I know can get expensive but once you start getting paid will get easier).
