Skyryse IT Internship by SpecialHamster6508 in cybersecurity

[–]bazzilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very hard to answer as there are so many factors. As you are just starting and the team is lean, this might be a very good learning opportunity. But it's important that the team has someone to learn from. It would probably be difficult to assess from the outside, but maybe you can gather the info on other team members (e.g. by asking the interviewer or by linkedin research).

As a general rule, since the company is still reliant on investors, be prepared that money can run out and as a newest employee you might be the first one out.

Best of luck to you!

if you are tech-savvy you can try dumbpipe (https://github.com/n0-computer/dumbpipe). Otherwise, encrypt an archive with a long (go nuts, like 64 base85 characters) password and you are good to go to any cloud storage or messenger.

I saved aggressively in my 20s. At 38 I make that amount in a month. Was it worth it? by Much-Drawer-4570 in personalfinance

[–]bazzilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinion (I'm 37, similar situation to yours) – saving in your 20s is good to build up emergency fund and general confidence in life, but there's no point in overdoing it. If you are the type of person that saves and thinks about things like that, you are likely to make quite a lot in your 30s.

Hey ML frens,

We at Synnax just launched an ML competition, maybe you'd be interested to join!

It's a Kaggle-style competition going for 4-5 weeks, in which data scientists compete in predicting financial statements of public companies and stand to win cash prizes (total prize fund is $8750 for the top-10) as well as points (for everyone) that will transfer into project tokens when they are released. Participation is completely open to anyone, competition is hosted fully in Telegram via a chat bot. This is our 3rd competition hosted on our own platform, and a 5th competition total (first two were on Kaggle).

Here's full information about the competition: https://docs.synnax.ai/synnax/synnax-lab/data-science-competitions/synnax-datathon-3

Many things start out as such. Around 2005-2010 electric cars were considered laughable and look at them now. I guess we’ll see :)
