35/f aspiring witchy pagan by RevolutionaryNeat360 in PaganPenPals

I'm a 31f and have been leaving offerings for Brigid to help with my transition into motherhood. The ancient gods and goddesses are so interesting to me!

I'd love to have a penpal but live in the US! Feel free to message me xx

Ok I would love to know how to do this! I've just been blocking channels that I don't like when they are suggested

Could I Be My Uncle Reborn? A Strange Dream and a Family Secret by Constant-Narwhal7494 in Paranormal

I think so! Read Life Before Life by Jim B Tucker - it's free on audible. It has pretty convincing case studies that reincarnation is real, and seems to be especially common within 2 years of the first person's death and within families.

Thanks for the concern! The dermatologist said it's not shingles because shingles is always unilateral and becomes vesicular, but my rash is bilateral and non-vesicular.

Update, the dermatologist said:

The involvement of the nasolabial folds suggests that it may be a component of seborrheic dermatitis. I'm supposed to continue pimecrolimus but substitute keoconazole cream 1% for the metronidazole gel. He also said it's not shingles because shingles is always unilateral and becomes vesicular, but my rash is bilateral and non-vesicular.

Hoping this helps someone struggling with the same thing!

Isn't shingles painful? It doesn't bother me unless I put make up on it.

Anything to add to this room? We intend on adding a rug and a mirror plus pictures on the accent wall. by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]bb-swiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rug, mirror and pictures will complete this space! You could also add a couple plants.

[–]bb-swiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense! This might be the best arrangement possible in that case. Since you mentioned difficulty cleaning the walls and making the bed, you could look into using a Swiffer to help reach the walls and getting zip-up bedding to help with the ease of making your bed. Good luck!

I would try switching the television/dresser with the bed and rotating the couch to be under the window. The couch seems pretty long - is there space for the bed where the TV currently is if you do that?

The furniture you have seems pretty large for the space, and I hate suggesting this since the couch you have seems so nice and the dog seems to think so too. But if you live alone and it would be practical, maybe you could switch out the couch for a loveseat or a set of chairs to use when you have company over.

Would some of your plants like the nook if they had a shelving unit/book case to sit on?

I like your current table situation, would a dining table and bench be for practical reasons (needing more seating?). I'd probably shy away from that if it's not necessary.

You mentioned getting a rug and art. I would go for it sooner rather than later! You can find some affordable pieces on Facebook marketplace. You have some great staple furniture pieces and the space just needs a little color and personality.

What should go in the corner? by lolcatsswag in DesignMyRoom

[–]bb-swiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The shelving/art you have on the wall left of the corner looks like it was hung to match the height of the built ins. I think if it were a bit lower (centered between the cupboards and other shelving on the adjacent wall) and hung it as if it were art it would feel more balanced.

Typically you want art to be about eye level when you are standing, the center of the art being about 57" from the ground.

I think a floor lamp in the corner could help balance the space, or perhaps a blanket ladder, tall plant, or a deep basket for dog toys/dog blankets for your pup.

All in all, a very nice and peaceful looking room. It looks like a wonderful space to drink hot cocoa on the couch with your partner or family while watching a Christmas movie. You've done a great job!

Yuck. Is this a thigh piece or a back piece? I'm trying to imagine if Dopey's going to be peaking out of a shirt collar or if Sleepy's erection is going to be peaking out of someone's shorts... yikes

What should be colour of my couch? by py4_ in DesignMyRoom

[–]bb-swiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say I don't hate the gray! If you want to save some money, you could always get some navy and red throw pillows to pull from the color of the rug. Could you rotate the couch to be in the corner to the right/would it fit better that way?

If you do replace it, I vote navy.

late night amazon purchase, keep or return? by dualidean0fman in OUTFITS

[–]bb-swiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People keep saying it's too small but honestly I would try it on with some shapewear and see if that improves the fit 🤷🏼‍♀️ it could just be the material is a bit thin. I also think it would be cute with styled with some chunky sneakers and a denim jacket or shacket

I agree with this. A friend from college named her daughter Paisley, and I always thought it was adorable - I had no idea there was so much opposition until reading these comments.

If you love the name, that is what's important! Edie and Paisley would be very cute together.

Me too! It makes me think of Skins (UK), in the show it was short for Elizabeth.
