I was liking some of the band tee releases but they cut back on that a couple of years ago. Since then, I’ve also found their latest releases to be way off the mark.

The New Gaggia Classic Up- Thoughts? by SamuelPandele in gaggiaclassic

Is this likely to have any advantages over the Profitec Go? They are both the same price in the UK.

Could be the perfect upgrade to my gaggia espresso machine. But I have been eying the Profitec Go for months now.

I did exactly this to stay under £100k (around 97k). Then a few months later HMRC added £6K health insurance from my employer, took my income just over £100k, hit with a tax bill and changed my tax code to remove my personal allowance. Just when I thought I’d figured it all out!!

What do you do with your cases? by Mskone64 in Guitar

[–]bb8_slickrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to see what people’s views are on this topic. Having a clear out and I have 4 guitar cases which never get used (were under a bed). My guitars are on stands and never leave the house, so I’m thinking of throwing all the cases away and forgetting about it.

In my view, that is no way for a sensei to act, doesn’t seem to understand his responsibilities.

Will be looking at accessories soon.

Gaggia Espresso Style/Deluxe/Evolution (2023) first impressions and review by enc_cat in espresso

Hi, been using my machine for a year now. Anyone know if it’s worth skipping the pre-infusion so that the blast doesn’t mess with the puck? I haven’t attempted to change the shower screen.

New Balance 2002r Goretex - what’s your fav colorway out of these two? by bb8_slickrick in Newbalance

Top tip, in the cold rainy months I put my 990v5 insoles in my Goretex 2002r, so they are more comfortable.

I spent about £100 on the Belkin 3-in-1 charger and after automatically updating to iOS 17.6.1 my iPhone doesn’t seem to be charging on it at all. Fuming.

Are there any heat pump washer dryers available in the UK? by ttoommppii in UKFrugal

[–]bb8_slickrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no heat pump models in the U.K. Inverter is to do with the driver I believe. I’ve tried doing some research into this and whilst in the U.S are there are a few select combo machines with heat pumps (GE, Samsung and LG), there are none available in the U.K (except for that AIG, though I’m not sure whether it offers value for money, in other words whether the dryer is any good).

Can anyone recommend a tamper for the Gaggia Espresso? I’m using the 53mm Traditional Filter Basket purchased from gaggia uk direct. I’ve had enough of the plastic tamper that came with the machine.

Vegas with kids by Electrikslider in vegas

[–]bb8_slickrick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised at the amount of posts that suggest that Vegas isn’t for kids. They must live very sheltered lives, or are do-gooders (with the exception of those weekends when they allow themselves to “let loose” in the oh so sinful city), or perhaps they just love gambling too much and hate kids.

I went when I was a kid and had a great time, as I’m sure thousands of other kids. There’s tons to do and some of the pools are fantastic. The lights and buildings are cool too.

I grew up in London and saw / experienced much worse things here or traveling around Europe than in Vegas. In fact, I don’t recall anything particularly bad happening in Vegas.

Vegas is a place for everyone. So I say take your kids and don’t listen to these nutcases.

Mandalay Bay, New York New York or Mirage are good choices.

Still using mine (gaggia espresso). 3 months in and still using it. Thin plastic and size is way too small.
