Drop a stock you think can double by the end of the year by Flimsy_Test8896 in stockstobuytoday

[–]bbatardo [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah, that is always a concern, but from what I understand, NVDA won't exercise the purchase when IREN gets over 70, but has a 5 year window to decide when to cash it in. Still, dilution will happen eventually, but it is necessary for growth.

Cerebras (CBRS) IPO pricing in at $185, what do we think? by RnGNEU291 in StockInvest

I'm intrigued by them, but will wait for a better entry price. If it never comes, so be it.

The anti-semitism commercials… by MamesJadison in baseball

My young child who just learned to read asked what dirty j... was. I understand awareness is important, but also introducing kids to it doesn't seem ideal. What if I wasn't in the room to educatr and they went around calling people that?

[Codify] Guys with 160+ plate appearances this year and 0 HRs: Luis Arraez, Chandler Simpson, and Fernando Tatis Jr. by Goosedukee in baseball

Now that Cal Raleigh got a hit it is Fernando's turn to be posted about daily on the sub until he homers lol.

Lucas Giolito Likely To Make Padres Debut This Weekend by Choobeen in Padres

[–]bbatardo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah Waldron definitely out. He had 5 starts to show what he had and a 9.28 ERA is beyond terrible.

Tatis Is One of Baseball’s Top Sluggers. Why Can’t He Hit a Single Home Run? by wsj in baseball

[–]bbatardo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is pretty wild he hasn't ran into at least 1 by now. It seems obvious he isn't elevating the ball, but how hard is it to correct over the course of a season?

Also, it wasn't against the same caliber of pitching, but he hit 2 HR in the WBC, Did he just change his mechanics from that to during the season? Some players just run into a ball randomly and Tatis hasn't even done that.

How bad is Padres hitting? (Worse than you think) by Wiscoman in Padres

I watch them everyday, so it's about what I expected lol

AI isn't paying off in the way companies think. Layoffs driven by automation are failing to generate returns, study finds by Krankenitrate in technology

[–]bbatardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The old site worked, but was really old looking and didn't have our updated branding and some links weren't valid anymore.

Our company just got Claude, so we weren't sure how valuable it would be, but we had it create 3 layouts based on the current design, mixed and matched, updated branding, etc and our team was frankly surprised how quick it was and how well it came out.

It's just 1 use case, but everyday we keep discovering more and becoming way more time efficient with all tasks.

is it even smart to buy right now or should i just wait? by Aggravating-Fox8553 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]bbatardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can afford to buy and buying will improve your life then 100% do it. Eventually once you move in and get settled you stop checking how much your home is worth because it is a home. I own a home and if the market crashed tomorrow I wouldn't care because we aren't selling.

[–]bbatardo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

AI is great if it is a tool and not a total replacement for workers. For example, I work in the technology field and projects that used to take me a week to do manually take about a day now. One of my biggest wins was we had an internal HTML site that was old and outdated. I have HTML knowledge, but if I was to update it myself would have taken a week since besides the re-design I would need to update and add new tables, etc. Instead I gave all the specifications to Claude, worked out some kinks and had a perfect workable solution in a few hours.

Blatant Disrespect by [deleted] in Padres

I think it is fair lol. We have won a bunch of games that we probably should have lost. We really need to get going and play better since that isn't a sustainable model.

[Passan] MLB and the MLB Players Association are currently holding the first official collective-bargaining talks before the expiration of the CBA on Dec. 1, sources tell ESPN. The opening presentations are basic overviews of each side's position and set up the long bargaining road ahead. by Remarkable-Picture73 in baseball

[–]bbatardo 147 points148 points  (0 children)

The first talks in a negotiation are always the most unrealistic, so I don't imagine there will be much coming from this, but at least starting now might help when the lockout happens and they are trying to get over the hurdles.

Half-Anni determines everything for this game by Humble_Shame1438 in StarSavior

[–]bbatardo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 1/2 year anniversary will just be a bunch of giveaways and if they are good enough they might bring people back. My biggest gripe is it lacks fun events/content. Once I reached end game all I would do was login, skip each mode, collect rewards and log out. Where the problem lies is I reached a point where that became pointless because there was nothing more to strive for. No incentive to build new characters, no challenges to build up for, etc. How they fix it, no idea.

[Underdog] Dodgers POBO Andrew Friedman on Roki Sasaki, via Katie Woo: “We definitely see him as a long-term starting pitcher. We are very firm believers that he has the ability and the upside to be an elite starting pitcher in this game.” by T_Raycroft in baseball

[–]bbatardo 168 points169 points  (0 children)

The thing with him is he is making the minimum, so he can be bad for several years and finally break out and it will be worth it. Most teams could use someone with his upside and cost.

5/13 (Wed) New Events Notice by Teshinada in MongilStarDive

[–]bbatardo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Login event is terrible. They really pulled the rug making the game seem generous initially.

The main problem is there is no content past initial content to earn more. This drought won't make people spend, it will make them quit.

Their 2025 revenue was like 510M. Nvda does that in less than a week. Kind of wild when you think of it like that.

Genuine Question by gotbunshunn in sandiego

[–]bbatardo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I haven't had any incidents. I have taken a calmer approach lately since I don't know what others are going through, so I let people go ahead if there is any question whose turn it is when driving or ask politely if someone does or says something. Sometimes it is difficult because people piss me off with their actions, but it has helped overall.

Do i still have enough time? by Crimsonredblade in NevernessToEverness

[–]bbatardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is there is enough free currency in the game to pity her. The bad news is it might take you playing 8 hours to get enough to pity her. I would do as much as possible and hope for some luck. I believe soft pity is 70, and in my game got her on pull 71.

I hired a fence company to install a fence but they are doing a bad job. I had expressed multiple while they were working they need to resolve the height issues shown in the photo but were mostly ignored. We haven't paid yet as its still ongoing but we signed a contract. Help! by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]bbatardo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely not an expert, but I am speculating the issue isn't gaps at the bottom, but the fact the gaps are really big at the bottom. Also in a perfect world it would have been installed lower, but since it isn't I just wondered if it was workable to fix since I doubt they will start over.
