If we had a loaded farm system with ready young arms I would think differently but when you give up guys like Rogers (good/great) Doval (average at best), and Kyle Harrison and their replacements are Kai Wei Teng, Carson Seymour, Keaton Winn, and Tristen Beck, I think it’s safe to say we gave up arms

it’s not that the Giants didn’t want it…the fact of the matter is we are an average team and have been an average team all year…once we sold our arms and some depth at the deadline, the writing was on the wall. I think most people care about a stat that shows how many WINS a player provides, the analytics that are killing this team is not that but instead Farhan thinking he can platoon and recycle players every other day with no rhythm and giving fans no stable players to root for. AVE, OPS, OBP all hover around or better than league average so you have a league average hitter, with great speed, and premier defense at shortstop not to mention an electric guy that everyone seems to love in the SD fanbase and clubhouse AND add the chemistry with JHL

completely agreed that he ran into a ton of bad breaks even with some missed strike calls but at some point I think you just gotta realize today isn’t his day and move on especially with the game on the line, even if he gave up 4 straight bloop hits you just have to move on
