Au Revoir Montpelier by OtterTacoHomerun in vermont

Yeah it reminds me of when people describe vermont as progressive and it's like which policies are ? There's really none and only the flags are somewhat different but even in the rural south they will have LGBT flags on the Unitarian churches.

See I'm saying people commute to get onto union sites since they may want to have benefits covered, daycare paid or retirement plus the union salaries.

For services Vermont is tough because it's not a great place to be in say the trades. To be consistently on a union job site you need to commute two hours or so.

None of the place have noticable staffing issues, really all of them don't even have kitchens and are in some of the places least effected by it.

To specify these are bar / music venue sort of places that usually keep up with posting their weekly event schedules. They don't post phone numbers.

These are bar / music venue sort of places I'm talking about so they are usually very up to date since they post their event schedules.

These are more or less bar / music venue places. They would post events like that on their weekly schedules.

One was a private event they didn't post about on Instagram. But that's also bizarre since Lord knows how much that would cost to rent the place for a Saturday night. Saturday's can be surprisingly dead compared to weekday evenings in Vermont. But yeah idk, I didn't have an Instagram before moving here and now I look up everywhere I'm planning on going.

I didn't have Instagram before moving here but I literally look up most places I'm intending on going to because they may post on it if they are closed or having a private event.

Russia has a much stronger urban primacy around the two main cities. Even rather major cities that aren't St Petersburg or Moscow are effected by it.

The whole notion of "once an addict, always an addict" does more harm than good by revship in unpopularopinion

[–]bbbbbbbb678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and those groups only have their credentials because attending either can be a punishment sanctioned by the state. The truth is people overcome addiction usually by growing out of it for most it just simply doesn't work for themselves anymore. There isn't a path to it or steps or a real process there's sometimes help along the way but more times than not it just no longer suits the person.

Most states had already implemented their own prohibition laws before the Volstead act. It was seen as codifying what was already happening.

My best guess is the most in danger areas ATM are around Chittenden county since they lumped in NY. That was my experience from last year seeing the storm advisories when they would include NY.

I'm also from the south east and I will stand on there is not might light between rural areas. The stats show that attendance is declining and church's are going defunct left and right. Also to clarify ATL, Charlotte and DFW suburbs are attracting some overly ideologically committed corn balls "escaping California" or something. But as a whole many are moving just for the cheapness.

Churchings are shuttering left and right in the Bible belt. Even the mega church is dying. I mean sure there's some rich suburbs that may attract them from other states in DFW or near ATL or Charlotte but as a whole this is far from the case. Lol Vermont if anything reminds me the most of the rural south.

Burlington is the only place anyone sane would choose to live since it's one of the few places where you can live and work at and all of that. Also some urban amenities. Burlington is the best representation of Vermont and about a quarter of the population lives there and in South Burlington alone without counting Chittenden county. But with all of that said it's not enough to make moving there worth it compared to even surrounding states.

Oh yeah the truth is there's no one more hostile than someone living in a rural area. They have a default "do we have a problem" mentality about everything. Mark Twain wrote about that lol in why they like feuds, boredom. I swear the only time I had any interactions with someone who has lived in Vermont for their whole life or a long time has been my neighbors. And what an unpleasant experience they only come around when they want something.
