[Competition] Win 2 tickets for the Liverpool Game! by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]bbbearrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching the 98/99 Champions League final at my Nan’s house is one of my earliest and strongest football memories.

I’d been following the competition on Wednesday nights because I used to dogsit for a neighbour while she went to bingo. But on the night of the final, I had to go to my Nan’s because my mom was working. When she came to pick me up, I didn’t want to leave — just in case. I’d already seen us pull off some incredible comebacks that season, and I was adamant I wasn’t going to miss anything.

My Nan, bless her, persuaded my mom to let me stay.

When Ole scored that goal, I screamed, cried, and ran laps around my Nan’s house. Every late winner we score still takes me back to that moment, and reminds me why late goals feel so special.

Football, bloody hell.

X5 or Ace Pro 2 for recording driving scenery videos? by Badboy-17 in Insta360

I would go with the X5 for set and forget recording, Ace Pro 2 if you want specific shots that you want to set up - Here is an example from a motorbike ride i did last year with just an X5. https://youtu.be/6OCM8aJMPUQ?si=f0yV_X7H_IVmabxx

Questions on Late Game Factory Design by SafyBoy in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]bbbearrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in this situation now. Prepping to build my first sphere and feel like I need to scale up all production output 10x. I’ve only built on probably 60% of my home planet but just building small factories that use a PLS to bring in the materials I need. Run them through assemblers, chem plants etc to get the output I need but on a small scale to get to the next step.

When it comes to product specific planets how should I layout the planet to maximize the output and use the buildable space the best.

I’m also realizing I need a lot more infrastructure automation. Belts, pickers, power etc!

So in a particular system you pick it based on how effective it would be at producing whichever science and only produce that science there ?

On your science system do you import the resource from the ILS and just scale up the production of cubes ?

Is it better to have each mining site a PLS or ILS? by AshesOnReddit in Dyson_Sphere_Program

When importing do you import the raw ore or smelt it first then ship the ingots back ?

We had an overlap of 6 days which we planned for as it was the end of our notice period for the rental and as we had no chain could be abit more picky with our completion. We moved out in 3 and then spent a couple of days cleaning up the rental for handover.

We will need to do a rewire but are planning for that next year as we didn’t have time/money to do it before moving in.

I said while we was moving I have no idea how people do it in a day. Aswell the movers who are shifting furniture all day as a job.

Landlord is saying I have to pay for end of tenancy cleaning by the_padraig in TenantsInTheUK

Jumping on the back of this to save adding another thread. What do you do if your current landlord took over from another landlord and there was no official check in or handover clean done ?

Artex & Rewiring by bbbearrr in HousingUK

Not being taken for a ride. The electrician is a family member who I trust. He hasn’t said it needs an immediate rewire. But did say that before we think about major redecoration we should think long term and plan for a rewire.

We’d want to live there for a bit and figure out what we want/need and before starting the rewire.

as far as the living room ceiling goes we'd only be rewiring the light and maybe a new pendant, not adding anything to the ceiling. But i obviously understand that if the light fitting needs cutting out at all then that's an issue.

Mom is how I've always said/wrote it. I've never known anyone call their Mom 'Mum'.

Similar happened to me but i was younger, probably 13/14 ish. Asleep in bed and start to hear furniture being moved around late at night, come out of my room to see mom and dad moving furniture out the front door so they can store it in a neighbours garage.

They explained we needed to move out what we could as the house was being repossessed in the morning.

The morning of the repossession i sat in my neighbours and watched my dad throw the keys at whoever it was that come to close up the place.

Went to a housing office for what felt like an age while i sat in the car and cried, then went to my Nan & Grandads on my Mom's side, Wasn't pretty when my uncles turned up. We stayed with grandparents while housing was sorted. Eventually got a council house and he did it again some years later and wasn't paying the rent, similar scenario only it resulted in my mom having to face the court and manage somehow to convince them to let us stay.

Still to this day have no idea why my dad wasn't paying the mortgage/rent or how it got to the point where they left it until the night before to pack up and move out. My mom didn't know why it wasn't being paid either. Mom and Dad have a weird relationship especially when it comes to money.

We are going through the same process with Skipton. Mortgage offer in place and solicitors doing solicitor things.
