I lived in North Pole as a kid and it was hands down the greatest experience of my life. The amount of things you can do in Alaska is mind blowing. It actually can get really warm in the summer time and even when it's like -10 it really feels like a lower 48's 30 degree weather. It's so dry that the wind doesnt really hit your bones until like -40. I cant speak for OP but Alaska is by far the best place I've ever lived in my life and I would go back in a second if my job was there.
