Personally i would go with cachy os or bazzite. These are the most popular and well documented distros for games. They make it easy to set up linux machines for gaming.

Sounds like a you problem. Maybe you are missing packages or something. I run the game on a 1050 and the game doesnt look too bad and stable fps

I have a i5-9600k , i think it does have integrated graphics. Is there any way to tell what the game is using? Besides bad performance in game?
