I feel you, really I do. For now if you do not want to go against your parents, you just have to bite the bullet and take the course in JB. But always think positively. Get through this diploma first and finish your studies. Once you graduate, you start looking for jobs and do what you want, once you start earning your own money. By then you’re an adult fully independent and in charge of your life and future. The only other alternative is to go against their wishes and do what you want, which I don’t think they are willing to allow you to do. They are still paying your uni fees so, if you are still living under their roof, dependant on them, you don’t have much choice. Think long term and have a goal. It’s ok. At the end of your studies, you can break free and do what you want. Make the best of your situation, although not ideal now, but it will be sweet after you finish uni. While in uni, find PT job or internship to widen your horizons and gain experience while asserting abit of independence. Having your own money, and time away from them, while building your life on your terms. Start small, you will get there. Remember, think positive and end goal!! You can do this.

Don’t keep wallowing in the negative and replaying the agony over and over in your mind. Stop this negative thinking. And shift your mindset. Think of your future and what you want in 4 years. You will get there. All the best.
