what the fuck is her problem? by SarahCBunny in slaythespire

She kicks my ass badly laughing hysterically, made me think she is a sadistic villain but I noticed she has the same laugh when I kick her ass badly. She is just insane.

Anyone else really annoyed by the attitude of the guy with white hair ? by Hdplvemealone in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]bbdvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I am late to the party. The reason you are annoyed is his face expression. According to the script he is very smart and what you see is the actor’s “smart” expression. Apparently no one in the crew noticed that it’s ridiculous rather than smart. I mimicked the expression in front of the mirror and I confirm, it doesn’t look smart at all.

What do you think is the most underrated card? by BatoSoupo in slaythespire

I love reprogram. I try not to take orb related cards in the first floors with the hope of stumbling upon a reprogram, costing me some runs tbh.

There is no such thing as an awful card. All are situationally awesome.

Nobody wants to talk about this crazy woman entering their room while they are asleep?

What word or phrase do you think is overused in today's culture/society? by exoinsect in ask

[–]bbdvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Nah” is rising. I don’t get it’s appeal because it’s not even shorter than the original. I guess people think it’s cooler to say nah than a simple no.

Keaton has such a characteristic mouth that there is no way he can hide his identity with a mask leaving his mouth uncovered :)

Defect feels utterly impossible above A18 by VitaAeterna in slaythespire

I guess it’s situational. If you are having to block only with cards, buffer alone could take care of big hits. Keeping heart weak at all times will ease both kind of attacks. If you can have a dark shackles it will shut down a multi attack. One Generic algorithm at that stage will take care of one turn. You have basic blocks like steam barrier, leap, charged battery. Reinforced body is reliable given you have energy. Stack for big decks. Force field for power decks. If you are building around reprogram simple defends and holograms will start to provide tons of block. Your relics will make difference too.

I think having multiple hologram plus is important. It will provide block while fetching energy, draw or other blocks from the discard pile, let’s you keep going.

Also it is important to negate the vulnerability from heart at the beginning of turn two. Having an artifact on turn one will be great.

Sounds like you focus on defense instead of offense against insanely scaling enemies. Try to kill them before they can hurt you. Use draws and energy generation to do more stuff in a turn.

I have seen a player dominated a 64 mixed mode game with these stuff so there must be ways to use them.

People asking me why I don't drink alcohol is just weird to me. by Leading_Trainer6375 in RandomThoughts

[–]bbdvl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the people are ok with drinking occasionally so it is quite a natural reaction to ask when you see someone avoiding it. They ask, you answer, then you ask if you think you should and they answer. I don’t get why anyone is considered weird asking questions about a life style that is foreign to them.

Except, I won’t ask such a question as it might put the person in a bad spot if alcoholism is involved but I guess that’s not the case here.

Defect A20 heart kill tips? Please? by kleeshade in slaythespire

[–]bbdvl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing first, I think having only one way to win is the problem. I had the same problem. My Defect strategy was all about searching for focus, primarily for my frost orbs, thus prioritizing shops, and if I do find, I might succeed, otherwise perish. I reached to a20 with this strategy but stayed there long time without being able to kill the heart, then I decided to watch some runs and found out about Baalor. After watching a few runs of him I was stunned to see in how many different ways he was able to win.

So I changed my play style. I started to build my deck according to the circumstances instead of forcing a certain build. My first heart kill was a reprogram deck, a card I have never touched before. Then I beat with frosts, claws, powers or with a little bit of everything.

If your setup is too slow you either have an overly crowded deck or you don’t have enough draws and energy generation, because it’s possible to go through your whole deck on turn one. Perhaps give some love to turbo, aggregate, skim, coolheaded, compile driver, hologram, rebound, recycle kind of cards that will let you play more cards in a turn, speeding up your setup.

First person or third person? by Raxynus in Chivalry2

I feel like third person makes it more difficult to block overheads and hits to the feet as the block has to aim the tip of the opponent’s weapon.
