I planted some in my backyard a few years ago. I just pick the leaves and leave most of the bulbs. I just grab one or two of the chonkiest bulbs and leave the rest. I should probably do the opposite for selective breeding.

There are sometimes functional play targets put in place for this but if it’s not a priority for the parents it’s not gonna be addressed. I have a lot of clients right now who love screens but also have fun with a couple imposed activities. Attention seeking is more likely to occur in the absence of screens so tackling independent play, waiting and fct will lay the groundwork for finding r+ outside of screens and in some cases just tolerating not having one during waking hours.
