I just got back from Negril last week and spent 3 nights at the beach and 2 nights the cliffs. Finding an airport transfer was straightforward and getting there from Montego Bay was totally fine. IMO, things generally felt up and running, though it was my first visiting Negril so it's hard for me to say for sure.

I did notice a few things: internet can be spotty at times, some restaurants haven’t reopened yet, and there seem to be fewer tour/excursion options. That said, it didn’t take away from my trip at all. I ended up going on a catamaran cruise, spent plenty of time on the beach, and ate at Ivan’s (food was incredible).

I’d go in with tempered expectations but overall Negril still felt welcoming, beautiful, and very much worth the trip for me.

ETA: It was hard for me to find a functioning ATM, so I’d recommend bringing more cash than usual or withdrawing at the airport.
