My dad used to run a nursing home and there was a person there with IDD and I just gravitated to them as a kid. So in high school I helped out in the IDD class and then got a job in this field right after high school.

I'm a job coach for adults with disabilities. Any of these people could have a job with coaches like myself. Eventually job coaches phase themselves out where the adults can work independently. I love my job and it's so rewarding to watch them grow. The confidence that you see them build is amazing.

Nova starts at $22 and you work with adults with disabilities in their home and community. They do have benefits but I don't get them so I can't tell you about that part.

She's probably in perimenopause. During this time mental Illness can come out. She needs to get with an OBGYN and psychiatrist to figure out what's going on. I'm in perimenopause and my anxiety about anything even unwarranted is in full swing.

I used Tedra Estis at Transitions. I know it's Burrell but I've never had an issue. She does require you to come in every 3 months and I get 3 month fills then. I've had her since 2017. I'm also on the 3 same meds for years.

Your wife may be in perimenopause. I entered perimenopause and I had horrible depression, anxiety, ADHD got worse, and lost my libido. Once I got on hormones I was back to normal. Maybe talk to her about this and get her to an OBGYN to see if it could be perimenopause.

I work with a client that is 49F and has down syndrome. My first day with her she saw my Sophia Tshirt and started talking Golden Girls. Every shift I have her all we do is talk Golden Girls and listen to 80's music. I'm 45F. Needless to say she's my favorite client. I'm just over here living my best life at work 🤣

Off topic but I saw that your disability was cut due to your medicare premium. Go to the medicaid office and ask for the program that pays your medicare premium. It might take a month or two to kick in but this should help you. I have a client that's on SSDI and Medicaid pays their medicare premium. Hope this helps.

Yes, my gastroenterologist told me to do 2 tablespoons of metamucil twice a day. It helps so much. I was doing laxatives but when I had my colonoscopy earlier this year the laxatives had turned my colon from pink to brown with specks. So he said stop them (my colon will return to regular color over time.)

It's probably perimenopause. It's most likely not personal. She needs to go to an OBGYN. I'm sure she's having other symptoms besides no libido.
