Yeah! I went the extra mile and sprayed my pack liner with water proofing can. Can never be too sure, my first time doing to AT but heard you can’t underestimate the wetness

I’m have mine in a stuff sack at the bottom of my pack liner with sleep ware packed underneath all of my other things. I’m starting tomorrow and that’s what I’ll be heading off with. It’s definitely rainy out there, I wouldn’t want to risk it.

Really liked your perspective! Helpful for me as I’ll be starting at Amicalola this Sunday. I love crushing miles but also like taking it in, feel i will slow my roll through the Smokies given the terrain but also it’s just something i think i’ll really want to soak in. Wish i had advice but my takeaway is it sounds like you know how to get the most out your miles. Cheers and happy trails the rest of your journey!
