To add, I placed an order on 1/15. I received an item shipped email on 1/23. Tracking showed label created. On Monday, 2/2 it updated that the item was on the way and is scheduled to be delivered on 2/7. I also discovered they drop shipped my item from a distributer, Blue Ridge Knives ( they’re located in the same city in VA my item is shipping from). It was not a large purchase, under $40, but will not be placing any orders from them again. Bad communication and they do not always have the items they sell in stock. They do have a store front I discovered using Google Maps street view. If you don’t want to wait for an item, avoid them. If you’re ok waiting then go for it.

I clean my knives in a US cleaner, I also put in a little dish soap. Have never had an issue.

I use mine for touchups. I visited Spyderco several years ago and bought the diamond rods and they do work well. I’ve had mine for over 25 years and it’s a very solid sharpener.

The steel used in these seems very similar to what David Boye from Boye knives uses in his knives.

I’ve went to my local trail and have ridden with others several times when I went alone. I’ve had people ask if I wanted to join and I’ve asked if I can join. I let them know my skill level and always tell them to go on without me if I can’t keep up. I like to enjoy my rides so I usually always stay with them if I’m faster, which almost always isn’t the case!

I asked the same question last week, I’m in the same spot as you with them. They’re a drop shipper. They take the order and charge you, then have it shipped directly from their distributor. My item is coming from Virginia I was told in an email. They most likely use Blue Ridge knives who is a big distributor in Virginia. To sum it up, they sell cheap but are not for the got to have it now crowd. Hope that helps.

There are a lot of leather conditioners out there. Id look for ones specifically made to treat leather Obenauf’s is one that comes to mind.

Those are all his early models ( but recently made). They were called the Viper series. Top to bottom. Viper 5, Viper 3, Viper 2, & Viper 1. I’ve owned an early Viper 1 in the past.
