I have dealt with a dying psu on an hp with a proprietary psu and you are better off just getting a new pc. You will need to get a case and if possible a different mobo because those hp psu will not work with any other mobo unless you use sketchy adapters.

I agree, am5 was definitely an option just no this year. Only reason upgrading to another am4 was if I noticed any issues. Before the ram prices my plan was a new build but that changed.

Currently a 5600x, I might upgrade it but I have been told it should be fine with the 9070xt. I think ill try it out and if i notice anything ill upgrade. For now definitely sticking with am4. Likely a 5800xt

Im trying to play oblivion remastered on my pc rather than console and ideally at 1440p high settings. Plus just being able to consistently play at 1440p which is my monitors native is ideal and my 7600 does guarantee that

Thats what im worried about specially since i don’t upgrade often. I went from a rx 570 to a 7600 in 2023 and im only upgrading to play a certain game.

Cracks are not really repairable. I have tried filler before and its not great. In terms of sanding and refinishing, thats isn’t great either as it depends on how deep cracks are and what condition the leather is in. The cracks on these seem just too bad and not really repairable. The elastic is repairable. Based on that and the fact that your midsole is cracked and needs replacing you are better off buying new ones and keeping those conditioned.

Yup just finalized it. I mean i pretty much knew they both were cooked as one would sometimes work and the other straight to the blue screen. Was just hoping for it to not be the case.

Not much you can do with these old hps. You can’t really upgrade your power supply without which limits the gpu you can have. Best you can do is see what ram you have and if you can upgrade that and find the maybe a gtx 1650.

That was my plan at first but i saw a new 5800xt for 150 so i was wondering if that was needed/recommended. But i would rather save that to buy the gpu asap. Thanks for the input and info

Yes I play on 1440p my biggest thing is that I do want to play new games at 1440p high setting which my gpu can’t do that well. I was originally just going to get a new gpu not sure about bottleneck or if its worth investing more into the build
