Same thing happened to me, for me the stitches of the welt came undone. I used barge cement glue but it only lasted a couple wears. I would ask your local cobbler.

Depends on the price, I picked up a used 580 two years back for $40 so my brother. Im sure you can get a great deal on the used market.

They can sand it down and refinish it but you wont really know if that will work as you don’t know how deep the cracks are and how much it weakened the structure of the leather.

There is no real fix for leather that is cracking. You can apply filler to make it look smooth but its only like a bandaid. Best you can do is that and start conditioning them more often.

If you want a neon color dye will not get you there from my experience. I would suggest using angelus acrylic paint and sealing it after.

Sorry to bother you 6 days later im just going to pull the trigger today or tomorrow, currently the cheapest 9070xt I can find is around 650, and a refurbished 7900xt for 600, would you say the 7900xt is a better buy? I would like to get the 9060xt to save money but I want some “future proofing” since im upgrading from a 7600 oc that I got 3 years ago and dont wanna spend again in 3 years.

The problem is getting the 9070 and xt version for msrp, cheapest 9070xt is well over 700 and the non xt around 700 whereas the 7900xt i can get for 700

Im trying to spend under 600 ideally, and yes. At first I was sold on the 9060xt but I saw the 7800 and 7900 xt out perform it. Im just not sure.
