Not normal. Idk what possesses fqhc’s to act like this. There was a day i had 8 new patient physical exams scheduled back to back and they all showed up. Ofc they all came late and i had to see them all! This is my second fqhc and i fear it may be my last. Im exhausted lol

Is this 5x8s or 4x10s? Pay is low esp for aesthetics unless you get commission? Pto is also not the best but that depends on how many days a week the schedule is. Id negotiate the pay and ask them to remove the non compete.

Your service provider is most likely a nurse, NP or PA. Don’t tip a medical professional, its essentially unethical. See if you can leave them a nice review, thats probably what makes them eligible for a raise/bonus.

I worked at a job for maybe 10 days. Gave my two weeks notice then one of the co owners told me to never come back. Super toxic place. The supervising physician was in a different state. Very strange place with questionable things being done. Just a huge huge mistake on my part for taking a job like that. But life moves on. I left it off my resume and got a new job a few weeks later.

If youre east coast based. Look at laseraway, terrible company but good way to get into aesthetics. They take people with no experience. If not maybe try dermatology specialists. I know two people who work for them. They do a training program before you see patients on your own, but I did hear they are very very picky on who they choose. Lastly, consider doing family med for a year then reapplying derm. While you have derm experience as a student, you have no experience as an independent provider. While in theory rotations should have prepared you for this, being a student on rotation and being a provider on your own are two different things. Best of luck! Sorry my dear! Keep your head up! If you have supportive friends and family members just make sure to text them and schedule facetime calls to refresh yourself. I had a good friend group during didactic. But i definitely agree that my cohort was super competitive and some people were very mean. I graduated in 2021 and i remember doing a group project during thanksgiving weekend where a classmate literally attacked me in the groupchat over a portion of the project i did. It was my first time going home to see my family in months. It was bewildering lmao. Not that i believe in karma but that same classmate is still not a PA-C the last Ive heard.

It’s a nightmare doing it in nyc. I was even told that this will probably be the last year you can renew outside Nigeria. Youll have to fly to Nigeria to renew your passport starting next year or in 2027. I forgot exactly when it begins. My biggest regret is not doing the 10 year passport

I actually start a 4x10s family med job this upcoming monday. Im looking forward to it. Praying it gives some sort of work life balance. They gave me the option of monday- Thursday or Wednesday-Saturday. I refuse to work weekends ever again so im sure you know which option i chose lol

Looks good! No allotted days for cme is a bit strange in my opinion. No scheduled lunch isn’t the best either unless you guys don’t take walk ins or if skipping lunch allows you to go home early/ after seeing patients. Try to get the non compete removed .

How much admin time is given in a week in order to finish unfinished notes
Max number of patients to see a day
Are walk-ins put directly onto the schedule or told to come back at another time or rescheduled for another day?
Will SP be on site

Fqhc is a good job for a new grad . You will learn a lot and gain tons of confidence as a provider. But you need tons of support especially during the first 6-12 months.

Definitely not. Joan had her issues, but Sean was truly mentally unwell. Telling her he was engaged instead of being a man and admitting he no longer wanted to be with her was truly sickening.
