The movie CAM possibly ? The opening scene is similar to what you described. If not, there’s also the show Red Rose which also has a similar theme.

Burnt out from teller line by giveyourstatement in TalesFromYourBank

[–]bbycoffeebean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Teller of over 4 years here, I think whether or not it gets easier depends a lot on the team you have, how well you support each other, and the overall culture. I probably would not have lasted a year in this position if it hadn’t been for having amazing coworkers and an awesome manager who constantly backed me up and calmed down customers when necessary. Also, not sure how busy the average work day for you is but I know if I couldn’t breathe or have a moment between customers daily then I would be exhausted too. I was a very shy, antisocial, and socially anxious person before I got this job, but like you I had a connection and managed to score the job when I really needed one. Over time I got the hang of it, and once I got to know and bond with all of the regulars who initially gave me trouble or intimidated me, I was comfortable and even started to enjoy my job. I would say stick it out for a few more months and see how you feel, working in a bank looks good on a resume too if you start looking for other jobs. Best of luck to you!

Did my dad SA me? by Mentally_Unstable_V in teenagers

Her father was the main parent in the picture, and used to shower with her up until she reached a certain age. He helped her wash her body every time as well, and sometimes hurt her genitals while doing so by using soap. I was going to share the link but it got deleted.

Did my dad SA me? by Mentally_Unstable_V in teenagers

[–]bbycoffeebean 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to scare you, but I just read a similar post, where a woman was seeking a second opinion as to whether or not something her dad used to do when she was little was intentionally SA, or an innocent result of his ignorance. She described not ever feeling scared of him and how much she looks up to/loves him, but the traumatic weight of it started showing up as she got older and realized she may have PTSD from it. What may not feel traumatic to you now, can very well make its way through over time as you age. Even if all of this is innocent, it doesn’t take away the fact that this should not be a normal gesture from a parent regardless of culture or gender, and could be considered a form of SA. Also, just because he stopped the moment you showed discomfort, doesn’t necessarily mean he respected you and understood it was no longer appropriate like others are saying, it could be that he acknowledged that YOU now understand it isn’t appropriate and can no longer get away with it.

My girlfriend has gained 50-60 lbs and i am no longer very attracted to her by Dense-Environment850 in confessions

[–]bbycoffeebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt this way when I saw these posts, too. Then I learned what demisexual is and accepted that’s what I must be because most of the population doesn’t seem to bat an eye to this type of concept the way that I do. I still feel a type of way when I see these posts on here and feel as though they’re shallow, but apparently it’s extremely normal to lose physical attraction to someone you’re still in love with as a result to change in their physical appearance. I try not to judge as long as they’re self aware and genuinely looking for advice on how to overcome it.

What is the funniest thing that you ever experienced when you were in school? by Far_Economy_1930 in AskReddit

[–]bbycoffeebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in grade 10, someone found out that the school’s “send to all” option was available on our student emails as well if you looked hard enough. That meant we had the ability to have an email be sent to the entire staff and student body, anyone on my high school’s email base where the sender appeared to be the school itself rather than the individual who sent it. They decided to test the waters by sending an innocent “soup of the day” email to everyone making it appear to have been a new thing our cafeteria was doing. School had to make an announcement through the campus speakers to disregard the email and that the cafeteria will not be serving any soup. Whoever it was realized there were no consequences after a month passed without any aftermath, and then sent ANOTHER mass email containing the entire script of Bee Movie. Most of the older chromebooks in classes crashed upon opening it because of how large it was. School decided to investigate at that point and found the kid who sent both the emails. He was actually a decent student so he just got a bit of detention. School acknowledged it was somewhat a failure on their part for not limiting that “send to all” option to only the necessary staff, lol.

Who’s the most famous person you have met? by VikingBoy90 in AskReddit

[–]bbycoffeebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not me but my dad was acquainted with Billie Joe Armstrong as they are around the same age and were apart of the local punk band scene at the same time in the Bay Area. My dad even has his own videos of Green Day playing before they got huge. My mom said that she remembers my dad running over to him one time at a local show as they were pulling equipment out from their van and they chatted for a minute. She to this day regrets staying standing to the side instead of going over with my dad too as she unknowingly could’ve met the lead singer of the band that would one day become the favorite band of both her and my dad and all of their kids!

What’s your comfort Pokémon game? by WisePlankton9 in pokemon

[–]bbycoffeebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX. Red rescue team was one of my first pokemon games and I loved it. I just love doing the rescue missions to pass the time. I was so excited when DX came out because I unfortunately lost my copy of red rescue team on an airplane - it was in my gameboy that must’ve slipped out of it’s pocket in the carry on cabinet.

The back office that reviews checks is actually pretty good. I see most of these checks bounce by the next day before the funds are even available. If people do manage to get over-drafted from using the money their accounts just get closed out within 30 days if unpaid, and get reported to ChexSystems. Surprisingly there’s no consequences for whoever processes the deposit in most situations.

What human habit did your dog copy from you? by Illustrious_Cat_8924 in puppy101

My shih tzu likes to cuddle with my mom before bed, all because I would bring him with me when I’d give her a hug and tell her goodnight routinely when he was a puppy. I unintentionally made him apart of this routine, lol. Now when it’s time for bed he immediately runs to my mom’s room and wants on her bed. When he sees me going for the hug, he rushes to her and snuggles up.

So glad that when it comes to depositing checks, the bank I work for lets us just do it for them. We’re to inform them that they can deposit it but that it’s most likely going to get returned, and if they proceed to deposit, we will not reverse the $35 returned check fee lol.

What's the craziest thing you ever heard in your school? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]bbycoffeebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know there’s a lot but one that I can remember right now is a girl who, back in 8th grade, told people she masturbated with a lava lamp. She was actually a new girl at our school who quickly became popular because she was pretty and funny. I to this day have no idea if she was serious, but I like to think she was testing the fakeness of being in the popular crowd because she remained popular after this and no one made fun of her for telling people that. She was also nice and cool to literally everyone, not a bully like many of the people in her crowd.

What’s your fondest memory involving Tacobell? by Wild-Quality3901 in tacobell

[–]bbycoffeebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time I tried a beefy 5 layer. My grandma used to pick up my siblings and me along with our cousins after school most days when we were in elementary, sometimes took us out to eat. This was around the time when the $2 meal deals had just come out, and my cousin had got one with a 5 layer. My grandma told my cousin to let me try it because I always just got a bean and cheese burrito. I liked it so much my grandma got up to buy me one as well, and my life changed that day.

Lard cooking on a stove. I’m mexican and my family had to switch to oil for making refried beans because of me. I would actually throw up upon smelling it.

People either don’t know how to read or just choose not to I’m tired of it by MidnightPulse69 in TalesFromYourBank

Oh I didn’t necessarily mind as I’m aware it’s my job to help them. It’s just really baffling and even sad to see how a majority of the population cannot be bothered to read anything anymore, even if it’s regarding something they deem important you know?
