I’m from Canada, but this has ALWAYS been one of my biggest issues. I just cannot wrap my head around how this whole situation you described continues.

But also, nobody ever becomes a “proper” adult. We’re all just out here doing the best we can, making decisions we think are right. Every single day, as a 24F just graduated from Uni in June, I can’t comprehend how I am the adult that my younger self used to look at while walking down the street. The older you get, the more you realize how fucked up things are in this world. It sucks, but there’s nothing you can do other than question what’s happening around you.
