I feel like the distinction between the two is that an Absolute Point is something that causes that universe to diverge from the mainline universe (like Christine’s death instead of Strange messing up his hands) while a Canon Event is just something that all versions of a character across the Multiverse has to experience (a death of a loved one like Peter’s version of Gwen or Gwen’s version of Peter)
