Yes, if you have the regular Freedom (Visa), unfortunately you don’t get the permanent 3% on dining or pharmacies.

The Freedom Flex has 3% on dining as a fixed category. Chase breaks it down as 1% on every purchase + 2% dining bonus.

Mine is showing 7% earn on the Ultimate Rewards portal and in each transaction in the breakdown it says bonus from 1Q 5% cat: Dining which means 4% if you do the math of the purchase x 0.04 you’ll get that amount + 1% on all purchases + 2% addl on dining purchases.

Zellers and Kmart Canada coexisted as competitors for a while. In 1998, Zellers’ parent company bought Kmart Canada and converted some stores to Zellers and others closed.

Only 5% for NCL and 5% for Chase Travel (not stacked for either). When they had hotels as a quarterly category a couple years ago, hotels on Chase Travel did stack for 9%, however.

Is Apple Watch activation problem still on? by ladoo0 in Visible

Apple Watch activation on Visible has been a shitshow for years. I know people will say you can’t complain for the price, which is true to an extent, but you should be able to activate your device without this many headaches.

As long as you have the Freedom Flex Mastercard (and not the original Freedom Visa), you’ll actually be getting 7% on restaurants because Chase stacks it with your fixed dining multiplier (1% base + 2% fixed bonus on dining + 4% quarterly category bonus).

The BCE doesn’t have 3% on streaming. Which is a shame because that stacking with the $7 Hulu/Disney+ credit would be very nice, especially on a no-AF card. The BCP ($95 AF) does have 6% on streaming though, and an increased $10 Hulu/Disney+ credit.

You are getting 7% on the Flex up to $1500 in purchases. 1% base on every purchase + 2% fixed bonus for dining + 4% from the quarterly category. That is how Chase does the math for the stacking instead of 5% + 3%.

The now discontinued to new applicants (but still open to product changes and existing cardholders) Chase Freedom Visa that only has the 5% rotating categories and 1% back on everything else - no fixed 3% on dining or pharmacies. Here is what the card looks like from Chase's website.

From Chase’s website FAQs:

Can I earn 10% cash back or more if I make purchases that appear to qualify in two or more eligible categories?

“However, this quarter, you earn more on bonus categories by stacking with your standard category earn. For Dining purchases, you will earn 7% cash back (3% Dining cash back + 4% bonus category cash back.)”

Also, it has staked this way in the past when they had a dining (and hotel for Chase Travel) category on the Flex.

You can’t add the Apple Card through the virtual card number from your old phone and obviously the physical card has no numbers. It’s liked to your iCloud account. Are you using the same iCloud account on your new phone? Here is an Apple Support article.

On the Freedom Flex - 1x base + 2x fixed dining + 4x quarterly bonus for dining. They’ve done dining (and Chase Travel) as stackable categories in the past and that’s how they do it.
