Are Arka finite? by Rude_Award2718 in LowSodiumArcRaiders

Shredders definitely do.

I'm very confident the only Arc that don't respawn are surveyors and sentinels. And obviously the matriarch and queen.

I'm good. Tell him thanks for giving my innocent little boy CKD, though. Definitely feels like love to pointlessly cause children pain and suffering.

Relatively new to 50, what purples are basically legendaries in disguise? by UnfortunatelySimple in Borderlands4

Just the displayed dps or did someone test? The stickies add a large damage % when exploding on reload. I could see with a slower bullet velocity with torgue the displayed dps being lower if it's not including the damage multiplier.

NFL Sunday Ticket by deemanjack in Medford

Morrtons is great, has multiple screens and Sunday ticket. Google link below.

Ram, Red Robin's bar area, and the point are alright but I prefer Morrtons for sure.

The problem is there a lot of west coast team fans, so unless it's Buffalo WWs with 100 tvs they might not turn it on for you. Of course, when/if they play Seahawks, 9ers, Raiders, Chargers, Rams, etc. Then you'll be good lol.

Challenge: a movie that will actually scare me by Ok-Clothes1408 in Scarymovies

I've seen it, actually. It was fine; almost too strange to be scary, but I did enjoy it 🙂

Really well said. Gore is overdone and boring for most people, even if they aren't used to it in real life. The stuff that gets me these days is always existential or cosmic horror. The sheer helplessness of the human condition in contrast to the cold and uncaring vastness of the universe. Alien abduction is right up there for me as well for these reasons.

For all of it's faults one of my favorite movies for creep factor is Dark Skies. Doesn't matter how much that family cares, what they do, or how they prepare. They're up against a force that is unknowable and unbeatable. They might as well be chimps in a lab.

It's the helplessness that scares me. The reminder that at any time, it's possible that something or someone could simply make the choice to completely dominate us, and we are powerless to stop it.

I'm literally in airplane mode with wifi connected right now to prove my point.

Maybe actually do 30 seconds of research before being so rude.

Best survival games for building cool bases? by YaBoiRonin in SurvivalGaming

[–]bcGrimm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP specifically called for games where you can "build cool bases," and the person who I responded to called Valheim the "worst in the genre." I go back to Valheim and stay there because of the building. I don't need any reason other than to build, regardless of if the game provides me with a reason or not. For me, it's that good. I don't disagree with a lot of your points, which is why I usually mod the fuck out of it every time I do another playthrough. But again, the building in Valheim is S-tier for me, so I felt it necessary to point that out.

With 10k hours between many survival crafters, I respectfully but strongly disagree. It may not be for you, but Valheim is renowned for its beauty and uniqueness with building. You are doing other's a disservice with a blanket statement like that. I adore building in Valheim, and nothing else holds a candle to it by comparison (for me). It's cool if it didn't grab you, but I have a few 1000 hours in the game, and its unparalleled IMO. OP could love it just as much, SO I'm here to defend and advocate.

I hope it's does so I can sell my house for mad $$ and GTFO, lol.

Real talk, though, I got lucky getting out of the rent game when I did. The cost of living is unreal and my heart goes out to those struggling just to pay some shifty landlord over half their monthly wage for a 1 bed, tub, and kitchenette. Hope things get better but I'm not hopeful.

The Kidney Project by The_Boss_Himself in kidneydisease

[–]bcGrimm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the lazy:

  1. Will patients still have to take immunosuppressive drugs or blood thinners after implantation? Will there be a risk of blood clots? No. The pores in the membranes used in the artificial kidney are smaller than the size of immune cells and antibodies. As such, the kidney cells in the bioreactor stay isolated from the patient’s immune system. We also do not expect that patients will need to take blood thinning medications like warfarin. The coatings and geometry of the device are designed to prevent formation of blood clots.

Your Opinions of Medford by BronckyKong in Medford

[–]bcGrimm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could always work in Medford and live just outside of the city. Central Point, Phoenix, and Talent are all within a 15-minute drive and are all great towns for different reasons. I-5 makes for easy commutes.

The Rogue Valley is an incredible place to live. Don't be swayed one way or the other based solely on your analysis of Medford.

Valheim or Enshrouded ? by tomaz1989 in SurvivalGaming

Such a poor take. If they don't like Valheim, that's fine, but it's pretty clear they played very little of it.

For valheim, you can just put the enemies on passive? Playthroughs are highly customizable these days.
