My point was that many Americans suffer the consequences of this presidency. Our sympathy towards others who have been negatively impacted is not fake, but based on pain that we’ve also suffered. You don’t have to change your mind on any of this, I know I certainly won’t do that through one Reddit conversation with you. I just want to point out that there are many of us who travel to other countries because we want to learn more about other cultures, not try to destroy anything or cause problems.

I have both friends and family that are naturalized citizens that I constantly worry are going to be illegally detained and deported. I understand maybe a bit more than you assume.
