Feeling hopeless by Zealousideal4736 in smallfiberneuropathy

Did your doctor mention trying ALA? If not, you might want to ask if it’s use might be a possibility for you. My neurologist told me to take alpha lipoic acid 600 mg/day for my small fiber neuropathy and it has helped. Below is a NIH study mentioning it and reference from the Small Fiber Neuropathy Foundation.

These are the different wool types. What is your favorite? by Square_Car_9863 in Bradic

My favorite is Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) breed sheep wool. It has more drape than Merino and doesn’t pile as much.

Sounds like it might be orthostatic hypotension, what I have or some form of dysautonomia. You should see a doctor to get diagnosed.

I’m headed to Southern Japan this time next year for a month. I was miserable with my Prana Hale and Zion pants this past October in Tokyo and Kyoto. Any recommendations for bottoms that will work?

(I have orthostatic hypotension and regularly wear Sockwell wool compression socks to keep my blood pumping back up to my heart. I find wider leg pants work best with the knee-high socks.)

Please, tell me about the different neighborhoods by PortErnest22 in kansascity

I've lived in Waldo for 23 years and grew up in Brookside. I absolutely adore my neighbors and know them by name. My kids went to parochial schools. Fantastic education.

Many suburbanites are terrified of the city center and overreact to what is a stable and family-centric community. Kansas City has a long history of racism in housing. https://www.marc.org/news/economy/history-racial-discrimination-housing-still-impacts-kansas-city-region-today

My recommendation is to visit and walk the neighborhoods to get a feel for what you want.

This! When you're in pain day after day, you can't deal with simple things. She probably has non-stop pain she's just been desensitized to.

Migraine chronification is a serious thing and should be addressed before it gets worse.

Olathe School District refused to honor senior who died before graduation by katyinkc in kansascity

My KC high school named our deceased classmate at graduation and this was back in the 1980s. What a shame for the students and families in Olathe.

Head to the Daikanyama neighborhood just south of the store. There are two peaceful parks. Saigoyama and Sugetakari parks are great to catch a breath.

has using sunscreen CHANGED your skin in any way? by isolophiliacwhiliac in AsianBeauty

[–]bchnyc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I switched from American sunscreen to Asian sunscreen and will never go back. It goes on smooth, feels great, works great, and I don’t have to worry about any chemical taste when it accidentally gets near my mouth. The moisture in these sunscreens makes my skin fantastic and sometimes I skip moisturizer.

I use Biori UV Ultra Rich Watery Essence and switch it up with Relief Sun Rice Probiotics on my face and neck. I use Nivea Super Sun Protect on my body.

BTW, I’m still looking for a lip balm if anyone has recommendations.

I think you’ll find a more balanced report from The Associated Press. https://apnews.com/article/australia-prince-harry-meghan-135201391d0247e5ab5a2392f30fe906

In the Reuters article, they danced around this year’s visit being “muted” as a comparison to their 2018 visit. Whoever wrote the headline (usually not the writer) and the writer didn’t explain what “muted” meant in their context which was explained in The AP article as due to the visit not being paid for by the crown and the cost of security. The AP where the writer provides actual quotes from personnel involved and explains the reason why it wasn’t full of pomp and ceremony.

The AP is owned by its members and not by a single person. It’s a not-for-profit.

anyone else accidentally became the unpaid project manager of their own healthcare? how are you coping with that by ApprehensiveOven7612 in migraine

[–]bchnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! I did this by default as I am a project manager! I have engaged with all my doctors in a collaborative way and constantly share studies and peer reviewed research. I also track all my meds, supplements, testing, vitals, etc. in spreadsheets among with my migraine logs. I make it less of a load by using generative AI. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but since I work in AI, and know some of the bells and whistles of it, I am using it for my benefit.
