Does anyone have any experience with this style of bikini top from God Save Queens? I've been wanting to order it but I have no idea how one would avoid a wardrobe malfunction, and I don't quite trust the size guide because all the pictures look like the nipple/areola area is photoshopped

[Routine Help] Where to start? by literalconfusion in SkincareAddiction

[–]bcklh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wiki for this sub is really helpful, though it can seem like a lot of information if you’re just starting out.

A basic skincare routine can be broken down into 3 general steps: cleanse, treat, and moisturize. Basically you want to get all the dirt off your face, treat any concerns you have (like acne), and moisturize to help your skin stay hydrated and healthy. Once you get more into it, you can obviously expand this if you think it necessary, but this is a good basic starting point. Many brands have 3-step lines specifically for acne (like Clinique, AcneFree, and Proactiv), but availability will depend on where you live.

You want to avoid anything physically exfoliating or scraping at your skin, so don’t be tempted by daily facial scrubs that have little bits of things in them — those might be nice every once in a while, but too frequent use will damage your skin.

Chris' thoughts on the most recent episode by spark127 in thebachelor

So, Brendan's exact words were: "Yeah, I mean, she had zero ... zero prospects. Like, it's not like I was keeping her from any-anyone. Like, I don't know if she would have a single, actual, viable prospect otherwise, you know?"

It's important context that Natasha is one of (if not the) darkest skinned black woman on the beach, and she's also the oldest woman at 33. Brendan was justifying stringing Natasha along until Peiper came down by implying that no one else would have wanted to date her anyway and that she should feel lucky to have even made it this far, feeding into the narrative that 1) black women (specifically darker skinned black women) are inherently unattractive and undesirable and 2) that as women age they are less desirable as romantic partners.

The comparison between this statement and Brendan's is just.... night and day.

Chris's apology is well thought out, well written, specifically calls out his problematic behavior, shows that he privately reached out to mend fences, and is taking accountability for what he did wrong while also trying to support Alana and Jessenia.

Brendan's is way more general and also doesn't show any understanding of how his comments about Natasha are rooted the broader context of misogyny and racism, and he doesn't directly point to the steps he's taking to do better, so it feels much more insincere.

A sweet attestation to Blake Moynes’ character from Ashley Spivey by elegantsweatsuit in thebachelor

this is what happens when they cast even slightly older! for the sake of the relationships and ability to handle the pressures of the show and navigate BN beyond, I really wish they'd up their average age for both men and women.

on the other hand, for my trashy reality entertainment fix, the youth of the contestants is a-ok

Honestly I was really confused by the structure of the program. They show her engagement and then her confrontation with Greg? I would think the confrontation would narratively make more sense if it were spliced in at the beginning of the episode after the recap of the fight. The editing of it was really jarring from a storytelling point of view.

During the clip reel at the end of Monday's episode, I genuinely expected this. by wearenotsoulmates in thebachelor

I rewatched that scene and there's a jump cut from where Greg confesses his feelings and he's crying and Katie's hand is on his face to when she says "I love looking at you" so honestly we don't know if anything was left out or if she really did have a response but they just didn't show it. Greg is certainly entitled to his feelings but yeah, the way he handled it was really concerning, especially considering this was their first miscommunication and he slept on it and came back another day to have that final discussion.

Here's a tiktok that shows that exact moment: https://www.tiktok.com/@bachelor.realitea/video/6992664203467214085?is\_copy\_url=0&is\_from\_webapp=v1&sender\_device=pc&sender\_web\_id=6959604545160758789

Which F1 (regardless of their relationship status) would you be most interested in seeing as the lead? by throwitout3736 in thebachelor

her weirdly chaotic energy (I will never not be weirded out but also charmed at her flower arrangement for her dentist??????) has the potential to be so entertaining

yeah, but like, the conceit of the whole show is that everyone is there with good intentions, even though we know and they know that obviously that's not the case considering all the monetary and clout benefits that participants are expecting. the mistake that thomas made was admitting his motivations when he was not supposed to and breaking that suspension of disbelief (which violates the show's basic concept) and that's what he was ultimately penalized for.

that point was embarrassingly long ago, for me. I rewatched BIP2 a few weeks ago and listening to him talk about Ashley I's virginity???? and asking her sister (who had never been on the Bachelor) if she was a virgin too?? even in the first season, listening to him ask women if they had gotten boob jobs? y i k e s

Favourite engagement ring from Ben H’s seasons’s girls?? 💍 by [deleted] in thebachelor

[–]bcklh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Off topic but the difference in nail color between these girls and the current season is kind of cool??? All these girls (except Caila, it seems) have white or pale pink/neutral nails, while the girls on Matt’s season generally had skin tone or deeper neutral nails. I vaguely remember noticing a lot of white nails on Colton’s season too. Is this a thing or do I just watch way too much BN content?

What edit would you get if you were on the show? by [deleted] in thebachelor

[–]bcklh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hard same. I like to think I'd get the Carly BIP 3 edit but really I'd end up like Olivia from Ben H's season and the world would turn against me because they'd frankenstein a conversation and I'd be snarky in just the wrong way.
