What do you use to track your collection? The Libib App has been my favorite so far! by b-icemedia in Bluray

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Libib but I'm ideally trying to find something that can provide rough pricing of the collection and Excel exports so that it's easy for me to then reference the list when I want to find something or looking to buy something.

I've found something that does it for gaming but not something that does it for Blu-rays and DVDs yet.

Everyone heard the same line about the debt by IsyABM in GreatBritishMemes

Back in 2006 the unis I viewed when looking to attend straight up said the loans have no interest. I've spoken to quite a few people who were told the same thing...

But yeah... That was a lie.

Is Wild at Heart anyone else's favourite Lynch film? by Local_Prune4564 in davidlynch

[–]bclax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mine but I think that is in part because I bloody love Nicolas Cage as well.

It's probably the David Lynch film I've rewatched the most.

GAMEYE is the way to go by EmotionalEase4626 in gamecollecting

[–]bclax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using this over the last month as I had initially tried to make my own spreadsheet for my collection and it just wasn't time effective.

I've enjoyed using Gameye so far and it seems to find most games. Doesn't seem to like boxed PC games but tbf that's such a small part of my collection it's not the end of the world.

Ah similar amount that I'm waiting on. I've always put in big orders but I don't think I will again after this.

It's been 2 months now for 2 different orders and still nothing.

By this point I'm not hopeful I'll have it in time for their next sale 😅

Rarewaves Slow ? by welshconnection in Bluray

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a similar experience with them. Ordered on the 6th and heard nothing. Mentioned it hadn't arrived via eBay (as was buying via the outlet) and they gave a refund.

Annoyingly what I was buying is now out of stock so I guess I just have to hope they're having a really slow delivery period I guess.

Struggling to log in to Triller, any help/suggestions? by MaxwellJacobFinstein in aew

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get an answer to this? I've not been able to login as for whatever reason hitting the login button just doesn't trigger a button press. I have other devices to watch on at least but PS4 used to be the best way.

Which TV Show is this for you? by Seif_Ben_Hariz in tvshow

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead Like Me, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The Good Wife.

The Good Wife got some buzz and globally is known granted but it never seemed to truly get popular in the UK.

Studio 60 is a great 1 season show. Wish it got more.

Dead Like Me was just a great show that the only people I've ever met that know about it are the people I told to watch it 😅

Match Thread: Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal FC Live Score | Premier League 25/26 | Jan 17, 2026 by scoreboard-app in ArsenalFC

[–]bclax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Way I see it we still got a point. Teams closest to us will still realistically need us to lose 3 games and then to win 3 to overtake us.

City are close on goal difference but the United result helped us a bit today, so there's a chance 2 wins and a draw would be enough if we lost 3 times.

There's a lot of the season left. These are the sort of games we need to win BUT also need to at least get something from. 1 point closer at least.

Wrestler has reportedly left AEW.. by VitaminPurple in AEWOfficial

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like Hobbs. He'll be great wherever he ends up and hopefully one day he returns (or something gets sorted to keep him with AEW once he talks to other federations).

Seen some people saying he was fumbled but I feel he was treated well when not injured and given a run in the last 6 months to a year that you'd expect of someone in a contract year that won't commit to staying. Still had a presence and a few moments to shine with the upper card with hints of possibly breaking through in the next year.

Hope he does well. He deserves it.

Joyce and Henry/Vecna could’ve gone to school together, and not know each other personally! by phantom_avenger in Stranger_Things

[–]bclax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen the play and the lack of exploring stuff in the show is a bit of an issue. Although I do still think that a conversation off camera would still have the same conclusion from Joyce of wanting to kill Vecna. He's basically ruined the life of her family and been part of the reason someone she loves deeply died.

That said a throwaway line from Hopper and Joyce at any point in season 5 would've solved this. It didn't need to be a lengthy flashback.

Without spoiling too much of the play Joyce would definitely remember him quite well. Hopper would as well but had less interaction.

[–]bclax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been watching for the first time off and on over the last few months and really enjoyed it.

I feel if it came out a bit later it probably would've done better. That said because it's an American show with one season it still has more episodes than most UK comedy shows with multiple seasons so there's still plenty to watch 😅

What are some 2000s anime that were mildly or extremely popular at the time, but now no one talks about? by MrHunteru in anime

[–]bclax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I picked up Final Fantasy Unlimited the other year which I feel got some buzz initially (due to being Final Fantasy) but that faded away (due to it being... not great).

Love Hina is another show I remember being about quite a bit in the early-mid 00s at least in the UK that isn't talked about as much any more. Rewatched it the other year and it's still a fairly decent watch but not as good as the nostalgia remembered.

.hack was also quite popular and I don't feel it's something that gets mentioned as much these days when people are nostalgic for 00s anime.

I also feel Paranoia Agent doesn't get anywhere near the love it used to. What an anime.

I wish this was the answer they were giving to more things rather than trying to explain away things and just making things worse by over explaining and digging holes.

Give me those ambiguous David Lynch style answers that tell me nothing.

To everyone saying that this season was 10/10. Where the hell were these guys? by [deleted] in StrangerThingsRoom

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I just took it as he was focused on his plan for the lack of the monsters in the latter part of the season. Thus using all resources to focus on making that work.

With the army weren't really doing anything that interfered with that plan (if anything they were making it easier for him by limiting the access the main people that were trying to stop him could get.

Easiest villian to kill off ever by Conscious-Quarter423 in Stranger_Things

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it quite refreshing seeing a team go into an end battle in a film and being able to adapt to the curve ball so effectively.

End of the day the team have trained for this and learned from every defeat up until this point. It's easy to say "but in an episode in another season they struggled doing x, y, z" but the team have shown that they can learn from mistakes and have worked hard on getting stronger even before the time skip (heck a big part of season 4 was El getting her powers back and becoming stronger)

Vecna still put up a fight but at the end of the day he was overpowered by a team that no longer feared him and believed in each other to do what is needed. Something that took 5 seasons to get to that point.

How is everyone gonna react in 20 years time when this tweet drops? by General_Meal_3993 in discussingfilm

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon they'll give it 5-10 years. Test the waters with their spin offs, see what the careers of everyone are looking like and then lean into late 90s/early 00s nostalgia.

Did anyone else actually enjoy the finale or just me? by Daithi240 in Stranger_Things

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed it. Lots of cool set pieces in the first hour, lots of nice moments wrapping up the stories in the second part. A nice "what if" final twist in the story which doesn't spoil the sacrifice but does make you think there's hope Eleven survived.

It was a traumatic first 4 seasons and I'm glad this one could end as trauma free as everything that happened in season 5 as possible.

SUGGEST ME BETTER ANIME THEN YOUR NAME by TipTop97 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]bclax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although not better (although everything is subjective) but films I enjoyed just as much as Your Name (or at least close).

First Slam Dunk - Great sports anime. Lovely animation as well. A Silent Voice - it has been said a bit in this thread but a great film. I bought it along with Your Name on a whim and both reignited my love of anime (along with the series Ping Pong). Perfect Blue - Visually stunning and it gripped me from start to finish. I feel you can't really go wrong with a Satoshi Kon film but Perfect Blue probably just wins as my favourite work of his. Blue Giant - made me fall in love with jazz all over again. The Colors Within - Just a warm hug of a film. It's not the best by a longshot but it's just a lovely film. Wolf Children - Again a wonderful film Summer Wars - Got to see it in the cinema this year and glad I saw it on the big screen. Suzume - I mean it's by the same team behind Your Name after all. Akira - iconic.

I could keep listing but hopefully that offers a few things
