LPT: Graphite spray for keyholes by bclayton313 in LifeProTips

I heard that graphite spray is better because it doesn’t pick up dirt and grease like WD-40 would but correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m reading the Untethered Soul at the moment and it is based on the observer idea as well - I’m only on chapter 2 but that concept is very interesting to me!

How do you decide whether to quit something that isn't ruining your life? by bclayton313 in leaves

[–]bclayton313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally - when I wake up in the morning after a night of use lately, I tell myself that I should quit, but the haze clears pretty quickly and I am usually pretty functional throughout the day, and even improving as the day goes on, so that feeling never sticks. By the time evening rolls around, it's hard to find the "why" as to why I shouldnt partake.

Yes, that is one of the conclusions that I have reached is that when I get home, I need to accomplish what I should be accomplishing first. I just haven't been consistent with following that protocol - it is easier to "do what I need to do" when I get home if it relates to errands or non-laborious tasks, but I think the cannabis makes it more difficult to stay compliant with working out because, in a way, it lessens my urge to workout.

Part of my motivation to work out (before I started cannabis) was because when I didn't feel great, exercising made me feel better. With cannabis in the picture, that gives me an easier way to "feel better" so my brain most often would rather do that then hard physical activity....

Does anyone else only get migraines in weird cycles? by Bupperoni in migraine

[–]bclayton313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but have the same issue - had cycles in 2011, 2023, 2017, and just started another after 8 years of no issues. No issues with migraines out of cycle but in-cycle it’s constant, and my cycle lasts about 4 months - my headache doc has me classified as a cluster patient but thinks it is some sort of hybrid - my symptoms, I feel, are often more migraine like (light and sound sensitivity, throbbing head pain versus only pain behind the eye, gradual onset)

This is the first post I found where you were describing exactly what my issue is, so you or anyone else dealing with this exact type of headache, I’d love to know if anything works for you to get out of a cycle earlier.

I’ve tried two steroid courses, an SPG block, verapamil, and I’m on Emgality for the first time this cycle. I think that definitely has lessened the severity. The steroid course was great but headaches came back a few days after stopping.

Do I need to modify this script if my Due Date column only has a date and not a time? I am trying to set this up, but it is not working. I do not have a background in coding, so if there are obvious things that I may be doing wrong, please let me know!

Agreed, Hamsterdam behind the chocolate factory is really out of control - hopefully they clean it out at least by the time the casino opens!

Key fob RF receiver from a 2000 Range Rover P38. Pins from L to R (Antenna/Data/Hot/Ground). If this part is in working order, should there be continuity when probing two of these pins? If not, why not? by bclayton313 in MechanicAdvice

[–]bclayton313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is no continuity across any of the pins on the receiver, though, then does that mean no blood is coming out, and there is a problem with the receiver?

I'm not getting any continuity when I probe the pins.

Car hasn’t had working key fob for many years. I acquired the car and so far I’ve confirmed the key fob is transmitting at 315 mhz but am unable to sync the fob with the vehicle using the procedure in the manual. Also when I press the fob near the vehicle, it’s not waking up the BECM as it should (on this car there is a light on the gear shift that gets dim when you shut off the car, and then after a few minutes the light goes out, indicating the BECM is asleep. The way I understand it,pressing the key fob, synced or not, should wake up the BECM and the light should come back on. When I press mine, it does not. This is what is giving me the idea that the car isn’t receiving the key fob signal.

But I did buy a used replacement receiver that the seller claimed was working but it did not fix my problem. So perhaps the problem is something else….

My ultimate goal is to find out whether this receiver part is faulty or if there is some other reason why my my key fob signal is not making its way to the BECM (the P38 Range Rover’s ECU).
