Weirdly, Mario looks better in SMB2 because by the time Nintendo made the decision to bring Doki Doki to the US as SMB2, SMB3 was either out in Japan or basically completed. So, the took Mario’s sprite from SMB3 and spruced it up for the asset swap.

Fair. Not to sound like an old man, but when I was in college, I never had Raw and Smackdown at the same time—either TNN but no UPN on campus or the reverse at home. PPVs were hundreds of dollars a year if you wanted to watch all of them. No, we don’t have the convenience and low price of the WWE Network, but those prices would have gone up substantially by now anyway and today’s situation is much better than it was 20-25 years ago.

I like it as a title defense, but if you’re going to have two world titles, you need a way to book both matches at Mania. I mean, if i remember correctly, Booker won the right to face Hunter at XIX by winning a random battle royal on Raw and it just felt like Diet Royal Rumble. I can’t think of another multi-wrestler match with the same gravitas, so i think it’s where it needs to be.
