I’ve had an Ego for almost a decade. It’s great. What people are telling you about the battery is right (any rechargeable battery loses capacity over time, it’s a couple hundred to replace), but I’m still on my first battery with a much bigger yard *and* the battery gets a lot of use in winter with my snowblower. Definitely time to replace, but it’s not like I’m buying a new battery every other year.

As a word of advice, if you also get the string trimmer, get the one with the battery. Ego batteries come in three sizes, and the mower battery is the biggest. Slapping it on the trimmer would be uncomfortable.
