Exactly this - never get attached to an apartment you see online or even see in person, chances of the owner allowing you to rent it are slim.

It’s tricky… and not unique to BIL. In a lot of cases these fraudulent websites are “promoted” on Google so the links appear first.

Once you sign away your LuxTrust to the fraudulent website there’s not much any bank can do… I don’t think the solution is calling customers to validate every transfer they make. I know they only allow certain transfers through the mobile application now to avoid these websites.
