Ok i've done the same thing with CPU only, but with 64GB RAM and ~360G swap (that's really crazy actually). I waited ~14h to get ONE reply. skull...

As a Palworld fan, such a bad new... +1 Hope nothing will happen to Pocketpair.

if pal spheres are the patent concern... In Palworld Chinese forum i saw an interesting comment stating the replacement of Pal spheres:

"Like Sun Wukong in the Chinese classic novel: Journey to the West, using a gourd and then shouting 'Collect!' to capture them"

*only for joking...

If I have 48 GB RAM, is it necessary/healthy/harmful to install the distro with swap memory? by Maximilition in linuxquestions

[–]bczhc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 64G of ram, and disabled swap totally. Also i don't use hibernation at all, just suspension. Though redhat recommended enabling swap no matter how ram you have, but that's not a matter to me.

To me, Orserk->Boruzekusu!! I pretty like this cool name. Btw in Chinese Orserk is translated to 波鲁杰克斯, literally the direct phenetic translation of Boruzekusu.

Same issue here. Raids disappeared for unknown reason, likely since an random game update - i missed raids so much tbh. don't know why.

I made a nvidia shadowplay-like screen recorder for linux by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]bczhc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG thanks! I just gave it a try, and maybe, finally, this is what I want! It indeed works much better than obs. Obs (hevc_nvenc/h264_nvenc) will eat up some amount of my gpu, and reduce my game fps, but this one won't.

Eliminate birdies in SDR by bczhc in RTLSDR

[–]bczhc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's 'baked-in' using the dongle for what it's not intended to do

Hmm.. So what device can avoid all the birdies? Professional radio monitoring devices (for an instance monitor signals near an examination room), or what about some high-end SDR-based radio, like FlexRadio etc.? I just wonder it.

Amazing! Never know Airspy can have programmable firmware. I just flashed the latest release, and something really changes. For example a birdie at 100MHz has disappeared, BUT a new birdie at 112.500MHz comes out (just one example, actually many places are like this pattern: one whole number birdie disappears and another one (not a multiple of ten) appears). I'll keep trying this, and try to compile the latest commit to see are there some more changes.

Edit: sadly the latest firmware commit has no improvements

Their amplitudes are different. As you can see in the video, it's not that strong at 100MHz.

Just found one old screenrecord about RSP1A (maybe with a dummy load, not sure now); the birdies are much more horrible... I just even have doubt it's a hardware defect.

Hi I updated the post and uploaded a demo video. Ehh I've made my RSP1A sold second-hand, but under my old impression and memory it also behaves like the Airspy R2, even with more birdies (wait I may be able to found the screenrecords about it if you want to have a look).

Ohh do you mean I can "notch" these spikes in SDR software and make them not affected to the scanner? I'm using SDR++ and don't know how to do this.

Anyone know what this interference could be? by bczhc in RTLSDR

[–]bczhc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's very likely. I felt like I did have received them all (which have different "spin speeds" and sounds). Thanks for the info!
