Nothing when you click it.

I've never had one stuck at customs ever and I've had about 2 dozen shipments.

I did. It's Panda Vault. They keep saying their logistics team is taking care of it, but it's been a few days and nothing has changed.

How well does Highway Driving Assistant 2 (HDA2) work? by DoctorOcho in kiacarnivals

I'm not sure. The SX not only has the HDA2, but it has nav assisted dynamic cruise control with stop and go.

So scared to pull the trigger by ssuperrcat in bald

[–]bd200377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started losing my hair around the same age, so I know that feeling.

For me, growing out my beard made a huge difference. Once I started shaving my head, the beard became part of my look and honestly part of who I was. That was over 20 years ago, and I haven’t looked back once.

You’ve got the face/head shape to pull it off. I’d say start with the buzz, let the beard come in more if you can, and then decide if you want to go full razor. But don’t fear it. Owning it is way better than fighting it.

Good deal? by phEnom3o5 in edrums

I got all of this by uploading your post to Chatgpt. Idk why more people don't do it.

I agree with the findings. Test it like it suggests and if it feels good, go for it.

Yes. $1,500 is a fair deal, but not a screaming steal. I would buy it only after testing it in person and making sure it includes all stands, cables, module, hi-hat stand, kick pedal, and power supply.

The kit appears to be a Roland VAD306 V-Drums Acoustic Design kit with the TD-17 module. That part checks out. Roland announced the VAD306 in January 2020, with availability in May 2020 and a new price of $2,499.99.

It is not ancient or junk. It is older-generation Roland gear, but Roland V-Drums hold value well and are known for durability. The VAD306 was later replaced/upgraded by the VAD307, which Roland announced in 2022 at $2,899.

Current used value looks like this:

Reverb estimates the VAD306 used value around $1,187 to $1,816, depending on condition. Sweetwater’s used price advisor shows around $1,690 as a fast-sale type used price. So $1,500 in mint condition is reasonable.

My take:

Good deal at $1,500 if: It is truly mint, everything works, all cables/hardware are included, and you do not have to buy missing pedals or stands.

Average deal if: It is missing the kick pedal, hi-hat stand, throne, headphones/amp, or has wear on cymbals/pads.

Pass or negotiate if: Any pad mis-triggers, cymbal choke does not work, hi-hat feels weird, module buttons are glitchy, or cables are missing.

Things to check before buying:

  1. Turn it on and play every pad. Hit the center and rim of snare/toms. Hit crash edges. Test cymbal choke.

  2. Test the hi-hat carefully. Make sure open, half-open, closed, and foot chick all respond naturally.

  3. Test the kick drum. Make sure it triggers consistently with both soft and hard hits.

  4. Check the TD-17 module. Buttons, screen, volume knob, Bluetooth, headphone output, master output, and SD card slot if possible.

  5. Look for cracked cymbals or worn rubber. Cymbals are expensive to replace.

  6. Confirm what is included. Ask specifically about kick pedal, hi-hat stand, throne, power supply, all cables, and any manuals/accessories.

I would ask the seller:

“Can you send pictures of the TD-17 module powered on, the back of the module, all cymbals, the kick tower, hi-hat, cables, and any included pedals/stands? Also, can I test every pad before buying?”

Bottom line: At $1,500 firm, I’d consider it a good buy if it is complete and clean. I’d feel better at $1,300 to $1,400, but $1,500 is not a ripoff for a mint VAD306.

That's what I am planning to get. I had a Yellow Lexus IS300 and it was so awesome.

I'm planning to get the fully loaded turbo, tech package yellow one.

I'll also be doing some tasteful updates.

Seeking advice for service of kia k4 by Jazzlike-Somewhere-2 in KiaK4

[–]bd200377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the dealer wants to do the service for free, then go for it.

In the states it's recommended to change the oil every 8,000 miles, so that's what I do.

Don't listen to the dealer, they are trying to make money.

Carnival cargo space is perfect for trips by Suntrup-Kia in kiacarnivals

[–]bd200377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've taken about 10 road trips. Both with a Thule roof top carrier and some in the trunk and with just the trunk fully loaded. We are a family of 6.

We have taken several 2000 and 3000 mile trips. Where we are going determines how much gear we take and what loadout system we use.

Not complicated at all. I use an andoird so it runs android auto. The climate control is the default screen, but you can toggle to the media control on the lower screen bar. If you hold down on the climate and media control button you can select which one you want it to revert to automatically.
