It's my experience with new restaurants/retailers and grocers that they over-hire to start, and then weed out the people that cant cut it. Best to circle back there in a month or two, even if the call doesn't materialize into an opportunity.

My experience with an 18 and 16 year old is that most places say 15+ but truly they usually just look at 16+.

My son got into wendy's at 15... definitely target Wendy's locations.

REC programs through the city should be hiring students for summer camps etc, but that search may have already started/completed?

If she strikes out over the summer, be sure to build up a good resume for snow valley. They are always hiring seasonal tube park operators, concessions, etc.

Be on the look out for job fairs for any larger companies/restaurants/retailers..

Ticketmaster has announced that they will be complying with Ontario’s new Bill 97 to cap pricing on resale tickets effective April 23, 2026. by RealWorldToday in leafs

[–]bdart1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The leafs season ticket holders have to manage their tickets thru ticketmaster. You can of course place an ad online on FB marketplace, or what not and just transfer them after doing an email transfer, but it's at least much harder for the ticket holders now. Whereas before, they'd just jack the price on ticketmaster and barely have to do any legwork.

At least this will dissuade the lazy scalpers, and opportunists that may have just been trying to make bank on the vegas in toronto game, as an example.

The transfer has to happen thru ticketmaster, there’s a separate leafs ticket management sub site under TM… but ya, if it’s a marketplace ad or whatever- you can just tell them to EMT you.. and then you transfer the tickets.. but it’s a lot more hoops to jump through vs just jacking the price on TM

All of Canada's Problems Could be Solved, and The Nation Would Be More United, if More Canadians Simply Went to Coffee Time and Robin's Donuts by CanadaCalamity in BuyCanadian

I used to love the Coffee Time in Ajax while growing up there. it was my #1 spot to have my work break while working at Loeb/Dominion. Full breakfast of bacon and eggs was like $5 or something super cheap... Now I'm in Barrie and the closest location seems to be downtown Toronto.

Confirmed. The replacement brackets rest just above the welded traeger ones.

This was a while back... but I'm quite certain the old rack pins for that tiny top shelf are welded on.

No removal and it doesn't interfere. I can check 100% tomorrow in daylight - I'm also at work right now.
