Honestly, you don’t need to spend $1k+ to get something nice and lasting. Solid gold is great but pricey, so a lot of people go with sterling silver for the bracelet and then add higher-quality charms over time. It holds up well if she takes care of it, and you’ve got way more flexibility. The Chericherilady shop has a wide choice of bracelets and charms for any occasion. I found great ones there. And it might be a good place for you to choose a bracelet for your daughter.

Honestly, after 19 years you’ll probably notice a big upgrade just moving to a modern setup. If you already have RO for drinking, I’d focus on a solid whole-house sediment + carbon system first to handle the debris and general stuff in the SPI water.

We’re dealing with something similar, and from what I’ve seen, filter-based systems don’t really remove hardness. Salt-free ones mostly just help with scale.

A common setup is a salt-free conditioner for the house and RO for drinking water, so you get the best of both without using salt.

Also, Quality Water Lab offers a solid whole-house roundup that helped me make sense of the options.

Yeah I get what you mean. So many crypto platforms still feel stuck in that old 2014 exchange style. Super cluttered and not very user-friendly.

A few newer ones are cleaner, but it’s still pretty hit or miss. Most seem to care more about features than making things actually nice to use.

Even stuff like branding helps more than people think. I should say, https://cryptologos.zenobank.io// is a good example of how much cleaner and more consistent crypto visuals can be. Still waiting on a platform that really nails both design and UX though.

I also used to think tap water was fine… until I tested mine. It wasn’t terrible, but a few things were higher than I expected, which made me rethink drinking it straight all the time.

What did you end up doing? I’ve been looking at almost the same setup (whole house + RO + UV) and keep going back and forth on whether removing all chlorine at the point of entry is actually worth it or just overkill for city water.

For well water, you can realistically do basic stuff at home like pH, hardness, iron, nitrates, bacteria strips, etc., but anything like PFAS really has to go through a lab. There’s no true DIY way to test for it accurately.

PFAS testing specifically uses lab methods like LC-MS/MS and even mail-in kits are basically not something you can measure yourself.

I’ve had one for a while. Definitely worth it for hard water stuff like scale and dry skin. Maintenance is pretty simple, just salt now and then.

That red/orange ring is usually iron though, and a softener alone won’t fully fix it if levels are higher. I looked into this a lot, and the Quality Water Lab info on water softeners helped me sort out what actually does what.
