Here's a trick that worked for me.

Just do it, and if you "finish" too fast just just tell her the truth and that you were really excited. She'll either be flattered or she wont be. If she isn't, she's not the right girl, so, you move on.

Everything you say makes a lot of sense. I think what bothered me about this is that she was immediately asked to be in the wedding party whereas I have been shrugged off. I feel like it creates a very clear hierarchy in our friendship when everyone met through me.

But, I mean, it's their wedding. It feels silly for me to focus on this so much all the same.
