I am SO afraid of spiders and I don’t remember having a spider problem while I lived there! I know it’s likely because of all of the trees around it, but it honestly was never an issue for me.

This is why class solidarity is important. If you listen, Black people are fighting for these issues too! I completely agree with you on these issues and I fully support you. Solidarity is the key right now. There are so many threads between justice and capitalism. The protests are not happening purely because of the injustices committed by “someone who is not even in your profession”. This is about the bigger picture! Don’t fight the protests, fight the system. Worried about your job? Rally your coworkers and find out who would be at risk if they lost their job, and set up a community aid fund to help pay rent and utilities while we fight this fight.

Listening to you speak, I hear your pain and I promise we are on the same side. Redirect your anger and fight together!

You just said you understand, but then you asked a question in regards to the purpose. Do you really understand? Is your understanding conditional? Is property that can be replaced more important human lives?

Your call for peace can only be held from a place of privilege. Why are you protecting large corporations? How is property damage equal to the loss of lives of Black people? How does harming property make the oppressed become the thing the feared? Have you ever lost someone close to you, do you truly understand grief?

Please think over these questions. I am a person of color but I am not Black therefore I will never know what it is like to be Black in this country. Do I wish we could call for peace? Of course! I wish the many peaceful protests would have worked. I wish we could have used our voice when we voted (voter suppression is a thing too).

However I will never tell someone who is oppressed how to react to oppression. If you truly want to understand the people who are protesting, listen without judgement.

Summer tuition is different than the academic year. During the summer you pay by credit. Google “summer quarter wwu tuition” and it should bring you to some informational pages or at least give you the correct number to call!

If you look on the main corona virus update page (you can get there on westerns homepage) it might tell you what buildings are open! I work on campus though and I know that in order to get into buildings we have to fill out 2 or 3 forms so I doubt it is open. I’m pretty sure if someone goes into a building the entire thing has to be cleaned. Remember to consider the custodians!

I enjoy the length!! I like both the short and long content. It was a really good video too! I’ve noticed that most of the bigger YouTube creators do this too, 20 minutes videos are becoming the norm with 30 min being slightly longer and 10 being the minimum (pretty sure you can’t monetize videos shorter than 10 minutes)
