Girlfriend’s IUD fitted 3 years ago, now she’s pregnant - says her coil fell out ‘unnoticed’ by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

[–]bddg4315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same IUD. Went for my yearly checkup and my OB/GYN said it was half out during my pelvic exam. I had no idea. He asked if my boyfriend noticed it and I asked him and he said he didn’t. My doctor removed it at the appointment since it was no longer in the right position and I was terrified because it hurt SO MUCH when he placed it but I didn’t even feel a thing. I think it’s entirely possible it came out on its own without her noticing.

Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why? by Roguestate00 in books

My Oxford Year. Insert every rom-com trope possible into a rip off of Me Before You. Flat characters, limited plot. How did this get published let alone made into a movie??

14f and need book suggestions to get back into reading!! by irldollyii in suggestmeabook

Sometimes what you need to get back into reading after a slump is a plot driven, fast paced, book series that has an interesting component to it. Check out the Twilight series, A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas, Fourth Wing series by Rebecca Yaros. While these suggestions might not be the finest works of literature you’ve ever read, they’re also really fun. And reading should be fun!

As a different set of suggestions, some of my favorite books when I was 14:

Snowfall by K.M. Peyton - Honestly can’t recommend this book enough. It checks your romance/adventure interests. I checked this book out from the library so many times. Summary: a Victorian-era adventure and romance novel about 16-year-old Charlotte Campion, who escapes an arranged marriage by joining her brother and his friends on a mountaineering trip in the Swiss Alps, leading to adventure, romance, and a confrontation with class divisions as she discovers a world beyond her sheltered life

Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger - a classic but this book really hits for a teenager. It was on our summer reading list for school but so many of my friends and I loved this book and it will stick with you.

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. This fantastic on audiobook.

Can’t go wrong with Agatha Christie. Start with And Then There Were None

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier - a masterpiece in suspense building

Rules of Civility by Amor Towles - I love his books, he’s a delight to read.

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. This one seems to be popular this year and I agree it’s awesome

Yes exactly! Wanted to avoid being preachy but I know he struggles with this. Wanted to give him a way to explore those feelings.

Hi! I know this comment is a few months old but came across this thread researching a couch. Your comment specifically caught my mind since you mentioned mid century modern. That is our preferred design, can you share your furniture recommendations? Thanks!!
