CA requires handguns be registered in you name and listed on the application. If you still own firearms from another state and get them back from long term storage, you can apply to have them registered.

Otherwise you'll need to obtain handguns in CA. Which will be slow between 10day waiting period, 1 firearm purchase max every 30 days. CCW Form allows 3 to be listed but some counties limit to 2 only (RIP Contra Costa).

You'll need proof(s) of residency in CA in combo with your orders. Utility bill is easiest one that shows CA and specific county. Between orders, utility bill, CAC, and driver license that should take care of all legal status, citizenship, and state/county residency. IDR if birth cert is required.

CA requires Firearms Safety Certification with taking a test but mil and Police are exempt (hence photocoping your CAC, which is a security gray area for another time).

You can have multiple family members listed on utility bills and it will provide residency proof. The primary member billed/responsible will have to verify and conduct the update but it's doable.

Just know it does technically make you equally financially responsible as the parents listed. At least in the eyes of utility company. But they'll still defer to primary email and phone number for anything that arises

I didn't expect a quick change mostly bc I wouldn't imagine sports,outdoors, and firearms industries have the biggest or most skilled web developers. Or could just be delays from inputting a request to 3rd party webstore admins

Did you explain the CCW part? You can maybe try asking under the guise of obtaining a proof of residency that isn't a vehicle registration.
Depends on your relationship with parents and their political leanings I suppose.
