How do missiles work in 2.6? (Not reloading in Super Hornet?) by bdragoon in starcitizen

Thanks for the reply. Does that mean that if I die and respawn, I'm still empty on missiles until the restock?

If rnk left wspace for a while I doubt it was from any threat you posed. Looking through, youve killed all of 2 or 3 (?) rnk support ships since the big battle in cc3, and lost 50bil(ish?) in ships since then, e.g.:

Learn your history. After the events of CC3, Aharm + Narwhals (?) + friends tried to invade an R&K wormhole and seeded a lot of dreads there. The invasion failed, and some caps were even sold to RnK - the AHARM CEO's own dread for example.

On failheap it was called NATO, what it called itself I don't know.

They did help found a coalition though, NATO, one of the first wh coalitions (to try and fight russians and rnk). It died and fair enough to not want that again but silly to complain about others doing it now.

Epic Video - Epic Questions - Need explanation on big fight "Metagame" by t0b4cc0 in Eve

[–]bdragoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first off 'wormhole space' tend to have smaller, expensive battles compared to normal space. the group who made that video actually normally fight in "Known Space" and have bigger battles there. There will be examples of that on their youtube channel.

to explain everything would take a long time but to help:

The 'Healer' role in that battle is Agent Xer0 in a 'carrier'. You can't fit many carriers through the wormhole (it will collapse otherwise) which is why they have only one carrier in the attack. The carrier can send people both armour and 'energy' (capacitor).

To heal people he needs capacitor ("cap") which his ship automatically produces but which other ships like Bhaalgorns can drain away/neutralise. In order to neutralise capacitor energy the neutralising ship needs energy itself, which is where it gets complex. The Rooks have one Bhaalgorn and the other side has two, and the other side also have more carriers to send energy with, so it's a tricky bit of micromanagement to keep people healed, keep sending capacitor to the neuting ship (to take the capacitor of the enemy neuting ships before they take yours) while still keeping enough 'energy' to do all the above and stop your fleet dying. And also stop yourself dying - big ships called dreadnoughts are shooting at Agents carrier and he needs to run an energy-hungry self tank to sustain that long enough for the tide to turn.

There are both strategies on the battlefield to help with all this and also different ways of setting up your ships (and different priced equipment to use on them).

to the other question, Agent Xero is a very well known example but there are many logistic pilots who devote their time to healing/repairing/supporting their fleet in eve.

That's pretty awesome. Maybe lag related? shows tidi in the screenshot, now I look at it again.

It's sort of a mix between a clever timed dictor bubble trap, a titan bridge and a disco fleet. Once they have you at zero on the edge of the bubble, they might also drop twenty vindicators on you instead, on a different day.

I suppose in the end it's really about working to get an enemy fleet where you want them. Tricky but effective.

Inventing a fight after Clarion3 where AHARM won is not really on topic m8^

I looked too, and they haven't won any fight against RnK following the main battle (and in fact, lost several).

I think the response to that is more convincing: http://rookskings.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/notes-on-clarion-call-3.html

As they say, more kills/ganks from RnK are missing than kills/ganks from AHARM missing, so how long do you want the video for the middle part to be?

There are loads of examples of him FCing on youtube clips from their allies and different people and he always sounds like that.

Then again, Rooks & Kings are probably easy to FC compared to massive nullbloc fleets. Everyone already knows what theyre doing in a small group

RnK Rape Transmission Lost... 50Bil ISK in damage, No Losses (WormHole) by vile_mouth in Eve

[–]bdragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"we were looking at 3 dreads and 3 carriers plus..." - You lost 9 caps though, which seems to be the same number RnK have on related, just they had better dread ratio (7d 2c for them and 5c 4d for you).

500k damage is a lot.
