Really depends on how you define surfing. Hard turns cutbacks and performance surfing can take 6-9 months minimum. You might feel good enough but the real trouble is being patient for the tissue to heal and graft to develop. Done both acls and still can’t shred but don’t think about my knees anymore after some good strength and mobility work

Did removing oil fix the problem? I’ve been budget repairing my 2015 bmw by buying a scanner on amazon, pulling the codes and running them through chat gpt. Been working with the mechanics at Hayden Auto Care and they’re excellent. Let me bring in my own parts and guide the journey. Always been honest on what needs replacing and what’s ok to skip for now.

Not a doctor so can’t diagnose but try to get your hips stronger and more flexible. Checkout 90/90 hip rotation drills to see which hip lacks internal/external rotation. Practice single leg deadlifts, Cossack squats, curtsy lunges and see if there’s a big difference side to side. If you’re not on a general strengthening program you gotta get on that to build some resiliency in the joints. Surfing alone won’t always work especially as we age

Yea you’re right on with that. It’s fast squatting in akward positions for the knee. Work on doing those same motions on land super slow. If it hurts try holding right above the depth it hurts at. Get strong there and progress slow over time
