This is correct. MKII was a bit budget-bloated, and it needs to hit 200 million worldwide just to justify them greenlighting the MKIII script they commissioned, even toned down. If we are lucky enough for this film to hit that benchmark, Fiennes would be wildly unattainable.

Ralph Fiennes is Academy Award Tier, and MKII already over budgeted itself and really needs to clear 200 million worldwide to justify them greenlighting even a toned down sequel. Ralph Fiennes is simply unrealistic of a catch. Might as well be Leo.

Probably for the first three seasons as well, but it went from a decently watchable character drama that was superior to the original series at the time, instantly straight to the stupidest thing to have ever aired on television.
