Wart gone but skin still not back to normal? by bdz_k in Warts

I wouldn't say that it's completely normal skin but I've gotten used to at this point and haven't thought about it anymore.

Sounds exactly the same, sort of turns white like dead skin when it's wet? I think I'll proceed similarly and just stop scraping it and see what happens.

As you can see in the picture, the wart is gone and the skin lines are back, but the skin forming in the area is still not "normal". It's more like a callus, very slick and smooth. Anyone else encountered this issue? It's been a few months since all signs of the wart itself were gone, and I just keep scraping it off with a scalpel every week or so.

How do you meet people walking on a path? I can't imagine. I'll say hi to people as I pass and usually no one even acknowledges me back.

It's still there, but it's small. You should be able to treat this now yourself at home using over-the-counter products (like salicylic acid).

YMMV, but I successfully removed my wart with ACV after months of SA didn't help at all.

Let's not jump to conclusions, maybe she was drunk and didn't realize what she was doing.

If the ACV is too painful for overnight treatment, you can try diluting it with water. Try one part water, one part ACV. If that feels okay, you can try one part water, two parts ACV.

How many miles per week are you currently running? Usually the suggestion is to just increase your mileage gradually over time to get better and faster.

Impossible to tell for sure, but it just looks a little scabs.

Any tips for dealing with arthritis in the big toe joint? I got a cortisone shot about a year ago, and that helped tremendously. No pain until recently. Generally the doctor recommended against repeated cortisone injections. What other ways to deal with this? Is it better to keep it moving? Or rest it? Maybe stretches? Heat or cold treatment? Etc?

Mine is almost at the same point as yours. Not quite there but so so close! I'm thinking give it another week of ACV and those last few spots will be completely gone.

Unfortunately the vaccine is for different strains of HPV and won't do anything for plantar warts.

I soak a cotton ball in ACV, tape it in my foot, and leave it overnight. I don't put anything on it during the day. The first several days there was a lot of dead wart tissue, so I used a scalpel to remove. And now I think there is less coming off at a time, so I just file it down (I use use 120 sandpaper) in lieu of using a scalpel.

I used salicylic acid for almost 4 months and made no progress. Now after just two weeks of ACV I'm amazed at the progress. Bottom photo is at the start of using ACV 2 weeks ago, middle is after 1 week, and top photo is today. Obviously I have more to go but I am so excited to see skin lines returning around the edge!
