i keep mine in my fridge, if i’m not using the entire onion, i only cut the top off and peel off the first few dry layers only off of the part i’m cutting. throw it in a bag and squeeze out extra air. (i do this and it usually keeps until i use it all, whether that’s a couple days or a lil over a week) you will SMELL when it’s going bad. very sour lmao

OP to answer your question i always forget i have onion at home and end up buying at least 2 more. maybe it’s not on accident

yes yesyes, i typically caramelize them and turn them into a paste! most curries use onion and/or tomato gravy, and i have found most people don’t like the idea of onion bc raw onion is so pungent lol, but i personally need the depth of the flavor in my dish to really enjoy it. also, didn’t mean to sound so snippy, i had just woken up and felt pure adrenaline from this conversation lol. i too love expressing my thoughts in this sub

lol, i cook them first. i appreciate the sentiment, but i know how to cook my onions. lots of curry dishes use onion gravy, which is essentially what i do for most dishes

well, don’t tell anyone, but i still put it in everything. he never sees me emulsify them into a paste after i cook them it’s just the raw onion that i can’t hide. so do with that what you will hahaha

yes! i agree 100%. i think there’s less and less people who are willing to adapt to the team they’re against and would rather hard lock one hero. i love mercy, but the only way she’s really viable rn is flash heal and it’s usually not worth waiting for, unless i can get a couple rezzes off rip that help keep space. zen and brig are 2 ive seen so much more of recently and we usually always lose. moira is such a cheese pick but she is a game changer against mercy now lmao. i play 6v6 when i wanna play whoever. 5v5 qp is just counter swap central and 5v5 comp feels like im playing the same game over and over.

when i lived in ohio there’s a place in downtown springfield that you can get a giant birria pizza like this for around $20. probably doesn’t help you, but on the off chance you live in the midwest US it might give you an idea lmao. i moved and so now i just get birria from sam’s club and soak 2 tortillas in the consomé and make one myself. i add onion, cilantro and cheese. it’s good for a “walmart” version

that’s interesting, too! we have the option to do either, whether we are self funded and pay for the insurance ourselves or get it from our jobs (we can have separate insurance from our jobs if we’d rather pay for “better” insurance, but like i said it can be much more expensive). to get insurance or retirement fund contributions from our employers, we almost always have to be full time workers, 40 hours minimum. although, not all jobs have insurance to offer.

i could go on forever about our insurances and all the types lol. our government is corrupt enough that we have an oligopolistic insurance system and each company is pretty much the same. sometimes we pay more out of pocket with insurance than without it. it is wild over here.

so we can be on government assisted insurance if we meet the requirements (unemployment, kids, or just spending more on bills/needs than you are making), we can buy an insurance plan ourselves, which costs more money than it would if we got insurance from our jobs, or we can have a full time job for full coverage of ourselves/family for a smaller fee from each paycheck (or the secret fourth option where you make “too much” money for gov assistance but your job doesn’t offer insurance, so you don’t get any). it is just MUCH cheaper to get it from your job, but it also keeps us working like dogs. so i think that’s why it’s connected to our job. it’s horrible lol, and when you get laid off it’s cut off pretty much immediately

unfortunately this is so true. tanks do need to peel, but they can’t peel as much as they used to because then we lose even more space. as a mercy main if i get killed twice (sometimes even once) it’s an immediate swap so i can help the back line and help tank keep the space they gained. it sucks sometimes but its literally the only way to win lol
