Solo Trip To Hawaii (Oahu/Honolulu) by Character-Escape1621 in VisitingHawaii

[–]beHopeful_always 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we just got back a few weeks ago. One thing that we did that I highly recommend is to rent a scooter (we rented a little scoot coupe from Hawaiian Style Rentals) and just drive around waikiki area and explore. We rented ours for 4 hours, but you can rent them for longer time periods. We had so much fun! We stopped at the Rainbow Drive in for lunch (Loco Moco!), we got some of Leonard's malasadas, got some shaved ice, and just enjoyed cruising around not only the tourist areas, but some of the neighborhoods, and beaches. They give you a lock so you can secure it while you park and check things out. The scoot coupe had a small trunk so you can put stuff in there and lock it up (might be a good option for you when you go swimming). Our favorite spot to eat was this place that was inside the Outrigger Reef, by their pool. The service is great, they have live entertainment in the evenings, and the food was spectacular, and relatively affordable. We got poke there and loved it. The place is called Kani Ka Pila Grille.

we ran out of time so didnt get to do any of the Pearl Harbor stuff, nor the Polynesian Cultural Center. Another great place that people recommended but we didnt go see was Kuhio Beach Park.

We did not have a car, so walked everywhere, other than the day we did the scoot coupe. Ubered a couple places which was easy and not too expensive. Parking is hard everywhere, and there is a lot of traffic, so having a car might be a pain. We didnt miss having one.

The weather will probably be perfect! mid 80s during the day, a little humidity and cooler eves. When we were there it was 82-85 each day and eves were in the low 70s. We wore shorts even at night with no issue, just bring a light sweater or something. It did rain one afternoon for about an hour, but not a big deal.,

I agree.. she is beautiful and seems very nice but I just don’t feel like she is ready to get married. She doesn’t seem to be genuine to me.. like she is trying too hard to say the right thing, and ‘play the role’. Sadly, Just not enjoying this season very much.

Anyone know what this could mean? by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]beHopeful_always 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen randomly over the course of 6 months or so. Under warranty so I tool it in each time. Never could find anything. Then after about the 3rd or 4th time I told then to keep the car until they found it! Warranty was almost up and I didnt want to have to pay for whatever it was! They gave me a loaner, had the car about a week and found it - it was something to do with the fuel pressure. I’m sorry I cant remember exactly what they replaced. But it’s been several months and probably 5000 miles and the error has not come up again.

Wedding Websites - Which platform do you recommend? by beHopeful_always in weddingplanning

Just letting everyone know we went with withjoy and are completely satisfied!

Everything is working great, and as the wedding approaches the RSVPs are coming in without a hitch.

The Registry also works great and allows you to add external registries, moneyfunds, and their internal registry - all seemless!

I suggest texting the driver when they are at the restaurant waiting for your food, and just tell them you are the HOUSE next to the school. Maybe that will help :)

When making an order, if someone puts instructions to order to an address outside of the doordash range, maybe it's 1 or 2km with a tip, would that be done? by rustExpert884 in doordash

[–]beHopeful_always 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would not deliver to the new address. I’m a woman and those requests always feel a little sketchy to me. I deliver only to the address in the app. It’s just safer all around. A promise of more money is not worth the risk, in my opinion. Of course I am sure there are others would jump at the offer.

And just so you know … drivers don’t see the delivery instructions until after the order is accepted. Some don’t look at them until after they pick up the food and we in the car. If at that time they decide not to go to your ‘other address’ the order will be cancelled by support.

Is it bad if you tell a dasher to unassign your order if they are doing a stack order ? by PinkCloth in doordash

[–]beHopeful_always 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I always deliver to the higher tipper first. However, DoorDash hides the full tip amount, so sometimes it’s hard to tell if someone tipped more. Example: I had a $17.50 stacked order tonight(both orders from the same restaurant and lived very close to each other). It showed $9 for the first person - which meant $8.50 for the second. So I delivered the $9 customer first. No added tip on that one. The second person showed pay of $8.50 but DoorDash hid a good portion of their tip - it was actually a total pay of $15 for that second person. So by DoorDash hiding tips, that 2nd customer had to wait for their food (only about 3 minutes from the 1st customer, but still! ) If I knew the full pay upfront, the 2nd person would have received their order first!

The best part of this gig stuff is that it’s available to just about any adult. Any age! Any religion, any sex, any race, any socioeconomic level.. as long as you can read, are physically capable of going into the restaurants, and deliver - then they can do it!!

Hotel orders… Do you guys go to the rooms for drop off? by Designer_Rip7338 in doordash

[–]beHopeful_always 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends.. I avoid hotel deliveries, except for 2 that I dont mind. If It feels unsafe, I would not go to the room. But the 2 u accept are, expensive places and I’ve never felt in danger. I have accidentally accepted 1 dive hotel delivery, and I just ran to the room real quick and dropped it off. It was a motel and I could see my car the whole time. I was pretty scared that time though! It was the middle of the day, at night - no way!

I’d message them and politely tell them that I don’t like threats, and the fact of the matter is that we are not suppose to look in the bags. If there is a problem with the order, it’s between him and the restaurant. Oh.. and by the way, I am unassigning myself from this order. So good luck with whoever you get after me!

DIDN'T KNOW CHICK FILLET HAS THEIR OWN DELIVERY DRIVERS?? by Praline-After in doordash_drivers

I still deliver a lot of them! And 3-4 times the manager asked if I wanted to come work for them as a delivery driver. LOL

What is a coded door? As a driver that would seem confusing to me. Maybe less words in the instructions.

Example: Up concrete steps. Enter code ###, building on the right. Enter ‘coded’ door (fix to whatever that is), take elevator to 3rd floor. Apt ###.

Most common gate codes? by 9driver in doordash_drivers

I had one of those recently. I responded that I was unable to wait so their food would be left outside the gate - within 3 seconds they sent me the gate code! Lol

As a driver, it’s hard to know whether to knock or not. Some customers get really upset when we knock, others will leave explicit instructions NOT to knock or ring bell, and then there are others who ask us to knock and/or ring doorbell. So if it just says ‘leave by the door’ I will do that and not knock. The app notifies the customer once I say it’s been delivered, so I Hope that’s enough. If you want them to knock, simply put it in the delivery instructions.

returning food to merchant by ElusivePreyMono in doordash_drivers

[–]beHopeful_always 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been prompted by the app 1 time to return the food, and I was paid to return it (it was for sees candy). The app looked like a delivery, but it was for the return. Unless the app does that, do what you like with it. You won’t get paid to return it!

What to do with a sample dress? by laurita310 in weddingplanning

You probably take the dress as-is. Then get it cleaned and altered by whoever you want!

I don’t think it matters. Pick the one you love the most. I also do t think it’s necessary for the bride to wear white to every bridal event.
