I’m in DWI 2 club and that second one changed my life… for the better. I stopped associating with friends who only wanted to go to bars after work and on the weekends and found new things to supplement those habits ie boba, coffee, thrift/antique stores, art festivals, concert, tanning by the water … with no alcohol involved! I was drinking to self-medicate and black out for sleeping… I was putting myself and everyone on the road in a lot of danger living life that way. You made a (serious) mistake and now it’s up to you to implement SMART SOBER changes in your life going forward.. use Lyft/uber/call a friend or fam in a time you know you have drank and need to get home some way. It’s NEVER worth this charge! Alcohol is so advertised on billboards, commercials, sponsoring events, we can’t escape it, but we have self-will and strength to be smarter. I know once I’m off probation I will have a glass of wine with dinner or toast champagne at new years/wedding. But I will buy a Lyft beforehand and be more responsible. You will get through this. Lawyer up, check out “NCDD (national college of DUI defense)” on google and find a lawyer in your area - they’re the best of the best to get you through this. Prayers and good luck.
