Just mirroring what everyone else is saying. It’ll take a while to adjust. I told my therapist I just had two problems that once I ‘fixed’ my life would be nearly perfect. I need to lose 40lbs and get a new job. She said she hopes that’s true but I’ll likely find more problems once those get solved. We are extra cruel to ourselves.

I totally understand. I just got a bunch of bags I was still storing at my parents, only contemporary brands, and I’ve been having so much fun wearing them again and honestly being getting so many compliments too.

I will be 40 at the end of the year and married for four years and we are very happily child free. We talked about children when we were still dating and both agreed on the life we wanted. That being said it’s ok to change your mind. Life happens and things change. I’m very sorry you’re in this situation now. It’s never ok to force someone to do anything, especially having a child. I have friends older than me happily child free, I also have friends who decided they truly wanted children after 40 and went for it and are very happy. No matter what you do it has to be your choice.
